It's a sweep! Well almost. Three out of four major tournaments played this Monday were swept by representatives of the Zerg.
Two of the arguably best zerg players outside of the progaming Mecca of Korea led the charge, with Nerchio taking the 5th GiGaByTe cup and Stephano, who made in excess of 5000 EUR in winnings last month, took out the unexpected masters level finalist Gogolactose in the GameCreds Cup #22, making it his second straight gold and third altogether. The Polish player Tefel, also known as Kuba, closed up the zerg's hat-trick by winning the controversial Competo cup(read up on the issue).
The Canadian prodigy DDE was the lone terran banking gold this Monday, although to be exact he did it in a tournament that started on Sunday - the North American Go4SC2 Cup. On his way to the finals he managed to crush two Korean semi-pros Mystic and ChitaPrime before taking it 3:2 against yet another zerg - Romanian guru DeathAngel.
The Money List
1 Nerchio1st at GiGaByTe Cup 100€
2 Stephano1st at GameCreds Cup 100€
3 Tefel 1st at Competo Cup50€ + Xilence

And yet another tourney - perhaps the most important one of the day - is only halfway through. The fifth installment of the ICCup's Korean Weekly Cup is well underway and if we learned something during the last four it's that this is the toughest online tournament on the planet!

But until then feel free to take a less pressing wager courtesy of 50 free gold minerals on the Eastern equivalent of the pro league:
