The ESWC American Qualifiers are beginning to heat up. In round 4 of the winners brackets four of the top American and International teams met; Shakens vs MYM, and EG vs JOY. Shakens lost two of their key players recently, Remstar and Hit0mi, who both respectively re-joined their former teams. Now Shakens is a mix of the former teams PluG and the American favorite, TPD. Though they are favored to go far in the tournament, they will have to beat the number one seeded - MYM to get there.
Meet Your Makers (MYM) was the favorite going into ESWC America. Though they can not use their dominating European lineup because this is an American qualifier, they have a solid core of American players from former clans coL and JMC who are looking to prove they belong on one of the top teams in the world. Can the American players of MYM beat the titan of North American DotA Shakens? Or will Shakens pull off an upset over the tournament favorite?
The other match up in round 4 is even more intriguing than the first. Team Evil Genuises (formerly eMazing Gaming) has recently gone through numerous changes. First they lost three of their star players, Remstar, Rwar, and Hit0mi, to team Shakens and SK Gaming. When those three left they were forced to recruit some new blood, Lopi was chosen to replace their losses. Surprisingly, three weeks after Remstar and Hit0mi joined Shakens they left to re-join their former team. Now that EG is reunited with Remstar and Hit0mi they look to re-take their place as the top North American team.
Team Jukes on You (JOY) was recently formed for the purpose of qualifying for the ESWC Grand Finals in San Jose, CA. JOY has a very interesting roster of players coming from numerous different. Former members of eNe.US, XsK, and 50|Cal now play for JOY. Mo, Samurai, and Fanat1c are former members of the International giant Xero_Skill. It is believed that one of the reason that lead to XsK's downfall was that they were unable to compete in any ESWC country qualifier because they did not have more than 3 members of one country on their roster. Now that Mo, Samurai, and Fanta1c have added some American players to their new team, they look to surprise the DotA scene by taking one of the two qualifier spots.

GosuGamers would like to extend our congratulations to Team Jukes on You for qualifying for the ESWC Grand Finals in San Jose, CA. I was able to ask Mo- a few questions about the future of Team JOY.
Cubs: Hi Mo-, how are you?
Mo-: I'm pretty good.
Cubs: Was JOY formed for the purpose of qualifying for ESWC and if JOY does not qualify will the team continue to play?
Mo-: We just qualified :) just beat Shakens. But yea, I plan on keeping the team hopefully with some additions maybe.
Cubs: Who is currently on the roster?
Mo-: Me, Zaku, Miky (Samurai), Fanat1c, Mirror, and Dye. I plan on adding players from swift after ESWC. I may add players from other teams but I was impressed by Swift's play in MYM Pride 10.
Cubs: Are you the leader of JOY?
Mo-: I am the in game leader! Zaku does all the other work b/c hes the bitch. I'm really busy with work atm too, so maybe when i get a break i will go back to leading everything. But that won't be a for a while.
Cubs: Is fanat1c going to stay with PGS now?
Mo-: I think so but, he will play with us also in different leagues, since we only plan on playing one or two leagues.
Cubs: What about the next Pride?
Mo-:That will be a bit tricky, we will see what happens when it happens.
