The final playday of Corsair Cup's group stage saw Empire come out victorious over Flipsid3 in the Lower Bracket Final of group D. They defeated Flipsid3 once again to finish second in their group and qualified for the play-offs.

Loser - Loser Match: Keita Gaming vs Flip.Sid3

The Loser vs Loser match between Keita Gaming and Flipsid3 was as exciting as it could be. Flipsid3 overcame the Swedes in game 1, playing aggressive across all stages of the game. They picked Slark in game 2 and hoped to repeat the same startegy, but Keita was having none of that. The Swedish grouped up and pushed early with Lone Druid in the front line and Juggernaut's Healing Ward as support. Flipsid3 only managed to take a melee barrack before losing two sets of barracks to Keita's pushing power. They went for a desperate push mid but were caught on their way back, handling an Ultra Kill to the Juggernaut and calling the "gg" right after.

The Danes decided to go all-out in game 3, drafting a full pushing line-up with Leshrac, Shadow Shaman, Ominiknight, Chen and Dazzle. Keita responded by picking Lone Druid and Tinker for pushing power as well as ability to turtle. The Swedes did not have much time to evaluate the power of Flipsid3's line-up because they were busy defending their Tier 3 towers just 8 minutes in. Keita's first set of barracks went down before the 10-minute mark and the second one went down 2 minutes later. It was not long before the Danes came knocking on the last set of barracks. Keita defended with everything they had, but the heals coming out from F.3 was just endless. The Danish squad destroyed all three lanes of barracks and the Ancient in a whopping 17 minutes, setting up a rematch with Team Empire in the Lower Bracket Final.

Lower Bracket Final: Team Empire vs Flip.Sid3

Flip.Sid3 pulled out yet another pocket strat for the first game of the Bo3, picking up Spirit Breaker and Zeus to look for kills all over the map. They did find some early kills, but impressive Rubick play from Sunlight kept Empire in the game, creating space for Naga to find farm and level. The Danes were hungry for blood, but bad communication and coordination caused them to lose a few crucial teamfights and gave away their little bit of early game advantage. Empire kept on winning skirmishes on the back of Song of the Siren, pushing all the way to Flip.Sid3's tier 3 tower 20 minutes into playtime. Spirit Breaker did not have enough item at that point to turn the tide around for his team and the Danish squad called the "gg" after losing the top barracks.

Pushed against the wall, Flip.Sid3 still decided to go for ANOTHER pocket strat with Axe and Meepo supported by Dazzle and Enchantress. Empire dodged Flip.Sid3's aggressive tri-lane and got good farm on Gyro while Scandal's Night Stalker managed to stay alive against Puck in mid lane. Sadly for the Danes, Meepo was too squishy against the burst damage coming out from Empire and he just melted in team fights. The Russian continued to pull ahead thanks to Track-gold and the game soon turned into a pubstomp as Flip.Sid3 got wiped time and again. By the 20-minute mark the game was basically over and the teams had fun for a while before the Radiant's Ancient collapsed, sending Empire into the play-off of the Corsair Cup.
