There are a lot of things to keep track of in the burgeoning Overwatch scene and it's become increasingly difficult to keep up with it all. Never fear as the GosuGamers Competitive Recap is here! We've compiled all the Overwatch news that's fit to print.
Released every week, the Competitive Recap compiles all the tournament and important news that's happened since the last recap. Whether you're interested in big news, or want to stay updated on changes in teams, you can always tune in every Thursday (sorry we are late this week) to see if there's anything you've missed.
Important News:
The Oceanic Gamestah Spring Series is in full swing
We would like to point Oceanic Overwatch fans, and fans of Overwatch in general, to the ZOWIE Gamestah League. It must be said that the League will soon restart, as three of the participating teams had to be replaced.
Learn about the Carbon Masters Overwatch event starting this October
Iddqd, arguably one of the best dps players in the world, held an AMA on Reddit a few days ago. So if you want to know about positioning or scrim reviewing, be sure to check that out.
Misfits, NiP qualify for DreamHack Winter
We are happy that DreamHack is hosting their first Overwatch event, but a bit sad they decided not to stream the qualiifers. No worries though, we will keep you up to date leading up to and including the main event at DH Winter!
Something wicked this way comes - Halloween has come to Overwatch!
If you haven't started up Overwatch over the past few days, and have been living under a rock, then you might not know about this but Blizzard patched in the second ever seasonal event. Halloween has come to Overwatch bringing a bunch of new cosmetics and other fun surprises.
Blizzard introduces new brawl mode - Junkenstein's Revenge
Speaking of surprises, arguably the coolest (temporary) addition to the game is their new Brawl. You should totally check it out!
The panels of BlizzCon: What to expect
The BlizzCon schedule was released, and so we now know what kind of panels we can expect about Overwatch. If you aren't physically going to the event, you will need to buy a Virtual Ticket to tune in.

Up for Debate: Implementing pauses in competitive Overwatch
The last patch that went live, and was available for a bit on the PTR before, included one major change to custom games: the ability to pause matches. SideShow considered the additional questions that need to be asked to fully implement this feature.
We spoke to Malik Forte, after his Overwatch Open interviewing gig
As the title states, GosuGamers set down with Malik Forte for about half an hour, talking about his experience as part of the Overwatch Open crew as well as his general experiences and advice related to the gaming scene. Definitely worth a look!
Tournament News:
OGN APEX League Season 1
On October 7th, the first season of OGN’s APEX League kicked off. EnVyUs, Rogue, NRG and REUNITED are the western teams invited to go head to head with Korea’s finest. We have entered week 2 of the event, but there is still plenty of content to come
APAC Premier
The APAC Premier features China’s best teams along with a selection of great teams from the rest of the world. The tournament started its final, playoffs, phase today and both Rogue and NRG are still in the running. Whatever you do, don't miss the Grand Finals on October 16th.

REUNITED welcomes Stefan “Onigod” Fiskerstrand
After kyb announced his departure from competitive Overwatch, for now, the team announced his replacement.
Team Dignitas rework their team, say goodbye to Art1er and Numlocked
Dignitas had a very successful roster when they still played for Creation eSports, but have slowly slipped down our rankings. This is why the organization is taking some steps in order to keep the roster as sharp as possible.
Nordic Alpha and Riddle merge, new team picked up by Epiphany Bolt
After Onigod left Nordic Alpha, the decision was made to reorganize that team and another under a whole seperate organization: Epiphany Bolt.
Denial eSports announces Overwatch roster
Denial also announced their roster, featuring players known from all kinds of games and with some GosuGamers Weeklies experience in their backpocket.
