Today the fourth cycle of the Diamond Division ends, yesterday the champion of the Gold Division already got crowned in the Grand Finale of that league. In the end We Are Spies prevailed again, just like in the second cycle.
Once again history was made in HoN Tour, as We Are Spies are the first ever team to achieve two Gold Championship titles in the history of the league. The team has been placed in the second highest league ever since their good qualifier results and has battled with up-and-coming stars and teams for a couple of cycles now.
In their first attempt to get the promotion in Cycle 1 the team was just one small victory away from achieving that dream right from the start, but then fell to Call It Karma in the Upper Bracket and Shit Happens in the Lower Bracket.
They came back with a vengeance in the next cycle and steamrolled their competition on their way to earning their first Gold Division Championship with great performances throughout the entire Upper Bracket, crowned by a 3-1 Grand Final victory against Pencils.

Diamond showed us that we didn't have the team synergy and were probably too young of a team still to compete in Diamond, although we did almost take out Lions eSportsKlubb. Now with our chance for redemption I think we're stronger than ever, especially with us not dropping a single game Gold as our team fight synergy and communication has improved drastically.
Now our main goal is to not drop out of Diamond! Our playstyle and drafting is very agressive, so I think if we do well we'll actually be a fan favorite (as opposed to a 40 minute farm fest).We believe this is our chance to prove ourself as a team that can compete in the top tiers of Diamond, it's just going to come down to if we can minimize our mistakes and play as well as we have been lately.
Unfortunately their time in the Diamond Division the first time was very limited, as they failed to record a victory against Lions eSports in the Upper Bracket and Pencils in the Lower Bracket, which resulted in an immediate demotion back to Gold. Still the team around captain DirtyMobs left an impression with a very tough and competitive outing against one of the top teams in Lions eSports - they were able to push them into three maps.
Style and close competitions doesn't earn you anything though, as We Are Spies found out the hard way - once again forced to play their way through the tough lineup of the Gold Division with teams like Pikachu, Absolute Legends and Dendis jungledevos all eager to get back into the prime division of HoN Tour.
Still the guys from North America prevailed in the entire cycle, not conceding a single match throughout. They obliterated high-profile competitors like Dendis jungledevos and Another Dimension. Against DmSn they even have a 5-0 map record in the entire competition as they squared off in the Upper Bracket Finals as well as in the overall Grand Final. Now the team will get their second shot at glory and prestige in the Diamond Division.
