There were plenty of exciting matches last week, highlighted by the NASL Showmatches, and even including an American LAN tournament. Also, the Esports Heaven HoN Challenge is halfway through the quarterfinals round.

Although these showmatches didn't count toward the regular season and involved some outdated rosters, the teams were playing for $1,000 per match and the quality of the games ended up being very high. I fully recommend that everyone purchases a season pass and watches these VODs. Reason's and Infused's victories were the most surprising, but all of the series resulted in close 2-1 victories and may have gone differently had they been best-of-five's. Let's hope that the regular season is just an entertaining!

The brackets for this LAN event weren't able to be found, but "Chu's team," as it was called, was featured heavily on the stream all weekend and tore through the tournament. CarDinaL was also in attendance, and his team ended up facing Chu and YoDa's team in a very one-sided finals. The Esports Heaven HoN Challenge continued into the quarterfinals round of the playoff bracket. PORT and OK advanced to the Top 4; compLexity is heavily favored in their match, but the Team EZ vs. Infused match-up should be a lot more interesting.
