Fortnite Season 3 Adds Five New Star Wars-Themed Bosses

Believe it or not, even though Chapter 6 Season 2 launched just over a month ago, it’s already time to gear up for its conclusion. Chapter 6 will consist of seven different seasons, and the next one, Fortnite Season 3, has been confirmed to feature a full Star Wars theme. Teasers hinting at this began appearing around the island recently, and this morning, a massive leak revealed nearly everything—so significant that someone at Epic Games may face serious consequences.
Fortnite Season 3: Star Wars Theme Confirmed
The upcoming season has stirred mixed reactions across the community. Some fans doubt whether an entire Star Wars season makes sense. But the signs have been there from the start. The release date, just two days before May 4th (Star Wars Day), is a nod to the franchise. The ongoing storyline in Chapter 6 has also been building toward a galactic climax.
Chapter 6 began with a chunk of the Zero Point crashing into the island. A demon recovered it and transported it to the Spirit Realm. This kicked off a live event where Diego rescued his sister from Shogun X, a villain controlled by a dark force. That force shares eerie similarities with the Dark Side of the Force from Star Wars. Diego insists he can handle it, despite concerns from his siblings. Later, Night Rose confirmed that an evil entity had seized control of the Zero Point shard—described as coming from “a pure reality far, far away.”
The Rise of the Dark Presence in Fortnite Season 3
The plot thickened with Diego’s brother Kendo feeling a presence watching him—another reference to the Force. Midas, in a story quest, discovered Zero Point energy inside a Star Wars capsule—the same type from Fortnite’s Chapter 2 Star Wars event. Diego now seeks to repair the legendary Mask of Power to confront the Dark Presence, though his sister warns this could doom him.
The Dark Presence isn’t Darth Vader, who’s already a Battle Pass skin and past boss. Instead, it’s Emperor Palpatine, one of Star Wars’ most iconic villains. In the movies, Palpatine created a contingency plan to revive the Empire if he died prematurely. This aligns perfectly with the current Fortnite storyline, suggesting he’s trying to rebuild the Galactic Empire within the game.
New Bosses and Locations: What to Expect
The original plan was to introduce the Star Wars season in Chapter 5. During the Big Bang live event, one of the drifting realities was meant to tease it, but the timing wasn’t right. Now, it’s all set for Chapter 6 Season 3.
The upcoming season will include five new bosses. Darth Vader will return, this time stationed at Fortress Vader, a dark tower from the planet Coruscant. He’ll wield his mythic lightsaber, granting players his force choke ability upon defeat. His new henchmen? Battle droids, not stormtroopers. Defeating them will drop the E-11 blaster rifle.
Palpatine, also a boss, will appear at Imperial City—a grand, skyscraper-filled location functioning as the Galactic Empire’s headquarters. He uses an electric force ability, much like Zeus from Chapter 5. Players who defeat him will gain this power. Palpatine will also be featured in the battle pass.
Fortnite Season 3 Battle Pass Skins Revealed
On the Jedi side, Qui-Gon Jinn makes his debut. Known for training Anakin Skywalker, he’ll appear at the Jedi Temple with clone troopers as his henchmen. His mythic item: a green lightsaber granting the ghost-force ability, allowing resurrection after elimination.
Other battle pass skins include C-3PO, finally making his debut as a full skin. Though previously seen as a back bling, players can now play as the iconic droid. Jar Jar Binks joins the game as well, complete with a mythic weapon that launches energy balls. He’ll be located in Otoh Gunga, his underwater home city on Naboo.
Admiral Ackbar and a commander variant of the battle droid also appear in the battle pass. Lastly, Count Dooku, a menacing Sith Lord, will round out the roster, bringing even more balance to the galactic lineup.
Fortnite Season 3 promises one of the most ambitious crossovers yet, combining rich lore from Star Wars with the ever-evolving universe of Fortnite. With five new bosses, immersive POIs, and a stacked battle pass, players have plenty to look forward to.
