Call of Duty Season 3 Reloaded Is Here—And It's Broken

Call of Duty’s Season 3 Reloaded update for Black Ops 6 and Warzone went live yesterday, introducing new content, ranked features, and major stability problems. While players expected the usual wave of additions, the extent of technical problems across Warzone, including lobby crashes and gameplay bugs, has turned excitement into frustration.
One of the earliest and most visible issues hit High Trip Resurgence lobbies, particularly on Xbox, where sessions were crashing consistently. Activision addressed this quickly, confirming the problem has now been resolved. Players can now access the mode without facing critical errors. However, this was only the start of a series of gameplay-breaking problems plaguing the Reloaded patch.
Ranked Play Combat Records and Loadouts Malfunction
Ranked play launched with Season 3 Reloaded across Black Ops 6 and Warzone, but players immediately noticed issues with combat records not displaying seasonal data. While data tracking remains intact in the backend, no timeline has been provided for visual updates on player stats.
Additionally, a widespread bug affecting ranked loadouts — and reportedly impacting multiplayer and Warzone in general — led to setups vanishing upon match entry. Activision has since deployed a fix, and affected players should now be able to create and retain loadouts without further errors.
Critical Warzone Glitches: Armor Animation and Revive Bugs
Among the most disruptive bugs introduced in this update is an armor plate animation glitch. When using tempered, players see the animation for three plates but only receive two. Without tempered, the animation plays for four plates while only applying three. This discrepancy not only wastes time during gunfights but also consumes extra plates, destabilizing gameplay balance.
Another ongoing problem involves the revive system. Players occasionally become unrevivable after being knocked, or find themselves unable to revive teammates. This bug, first reported during the Verdansk launch, remains unresolved and continues to ruin critical moments mid-match.
Adding to the chaos is a strange glitch tied to the pregame lobby. Dropping weapons before match start allows players to find those same weapons in the live game, essentially bypassing the loadout system. While beneficial for some, it remains an exploit that undermines competitive integrity.
Verdansk Crashes Render Battle Royale Quads Unplayable (Call of Duty Season 3 Reloaded)
The most severe problem currently affects Battle Royale on Verdansk. Multiple users, including content creators, report that every Quads match ends in a full server crash — typically before the first zone closes. The game freezes, kicks players out, and returns server disconnection errors. While other modes like High Trip Resurgence remain playable, Verdansk BR Quads is effectively non-functional.
This issue is yet to be acknowledged by Activision directly, despite widespread reporting. Without a fix, one of the core playlists in Warzone remains unusable, severely limiting the player experience during what should be a major content refresh.
A weapons update was quietly pushed during the patch, reintroducing the Reclaimer 18 shotgun and MTZ-762 Heretic conversion kit. These items had previously been disabled due to overpowered performance but now return in a more balanced state. However, this change wasn’t included in the official patch notes, contributing to the confusion surrounding the update.
A Bug-Riddled Update With No Clear ETA on Fixes (Call of Duty Season 3 Realoaded)
While Season 3 Reloaded brought new content and long-awaited features, the technical issues have overshadowed the launch. From armor glitches and revive bugs to disappearing loadouts and game mode crashes, the update feels more like a regression than progress.
Despite quick fixes on a few fronts, many critical bugs remain unaddressed, with no official roadmap or ETA for patches. The community continues to raise awareness, hoping Activision will respond promptly. Until then, Call of Duty players are left navigating a minefield of bugs that undercut both casual and ranked gameplay.
