Act 1 White Nevrons

There are 5 Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 White Nevron quests in Act 1. You’d naturally encounter the first one while travelling to the Indigo Tree in the Main Story.

White Nevron #1: Jar 

Location: Spring Meadows

Rewards: 1x Healing Tint

  • Find Jar sitting in a cave between Grand Meadow and Indigo Tree
  • Talk to Jar
  • Collect the Resin among some crates in Spring Meadows
  • Bring the Resin back to Jar then speak to him
  • Use Free Aim to shoot Jar’s polearm

White Nevron #2: Demineur

Location: Flying Waters

Rewards: Deminerim (Lv. 3) for Lune

  • Go near Expedition 68’s sunken ship
  • Enter through the big jar then speak to the Demineur
  • Jump across the rock columns to collect the Intact Mine
  • Return to the Demineur

White Nevron #3: Bourgeon

Location: The Small Bourgeon (optional area)

Rewards: 1x Colour of Lumina

  • Enter The Small Bourgeon portal
  • Find the Bourgeon in the area and talk to it
  • Defeat a Bourgeon Boss to get a Bourgeon Skin
  • Give it to the Bourgeon
  • Leave then re-enter the area to find the Grown Bourgeon

White Nevron #4: Hexga

Location: Stone Wave Cliffs

Rewards: Auto Shell Picto (Lv. 7)

  • Find Hexga on the cliff you’ll eventually reach as part of the Main Story
  • Accept Hexga’s task (look for three Rock Crystals in the nearby cave)
  • Use the zipline to get to the lower level (use Free Aim to shoot Crystals #1 and #2 before collecting them)
    • Crystal #1: Up a slope at the north side, with many enemies around
    • Crystal #2:  Behind the rock formation at the cave’s center
    • Crystal #3: At the eastern end, near a zipline. Defeat the Rocher boss that’ll appear before you (the crystal is an enemy drop)
  • Return them to Hexga

White Nevron #5: Benisseur

Location: Red Woods (optional area)

Rewards: Recovery Picto (Lv. 20)

  • Locate the fountain in Red Woods
  • Pour Chroma into the fountain until Benisseur appears
  • Speak with Benisseur

Act 2 White Nevrons

There are 5 more Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 White Nevron quests in Act 2. Most of these are in optional areas which you’ll need to explore beyond the main story path.

White Nevron #6: Troubadour

Location: Stone Quarry (optional area)

Rewards: Healing Parry Picto

  • Find Troubadour in the Stone Quarry
  • Speak with Troubadour who will test your reflexes
  • Complete the trial (let green orbs hit you while dodging the red ones)
  • Receive your reward after passing the test

White Nevron #7: Portier

Location: Esoteric Ruins (optional area)

Rewards: Protecting Heal Picto (Lv. 10)

  • Navigate through the maze in Esoteric Ruins
  • Find Wood Boards at the maze exit
  • Return to the floating orb with the Wood Boards
  • Portier will appear and give you your reward

White Nevron #8: Danseuse Teacher

Location: Frozen Hearts (optional area)

Rewards: Danseuse Outfit for Lune

  • From Glacial Falls Rest Point, turn around, go right, then follow the tracks and jump down
  • Speak with Danseuse Teacher who will challenge you to a dance
  • Successfully parry all 15 attacks (tip: cap framerate at 60 FPS for easier parries)

White Nevron #9: Chalier

Location: Floating Cemetery

Rewards: Auto Powerful Picto (if you kill Chalier)

  • Use Esquie to fly to the Floating Cemetery island
  • Enter the building and find Chalier next to a pile of bodies
  • Chalier will ask you which weapon it should use
  • Select a weapon and defeat Chalier in battle
  • Choose to spare Chalier

Blanche’s Trial

Blanche is the final Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 White Nevron you’ll encounter in the game. Blanche will be in The Fountain, which is the isolated land west of Spring Meadows. Use Esquie to fly to this region.

Speak with Blanche to receive your judgement. Based on whether you spared all White Nevrons or killed any of them, you will receive a great reward or face Blanche in battle.

  • Spared White Nevrons: 100x Colour of Lumina
  • Killed White Nevrons: 10x Colour of Lumina + 2x Grandiose Chroma Catalyst (after defeating Blanche)

To make sure that you get the maximum reward of 100 Colour of Lumina, follow these steps:

  1. Complete all White Nevron quests without killing any of them
  2. Visit Blanche in The Fountain in order to receive the 100x Colour of Lumina reward
  3. Earn the “Aiding the Enemy” achievement
  4. Only then return to defeat the White Nevrons for additional rewards if desired

White Nevron Battle Rewards

If you choose to fight the White Nevrons after completing their quests, they drop these additional rewards:

  • Jar: 3x Colour of Lumina, 1x Chroma Catalyst
