Iron Leaves ex (Special Illustration Rare)

A pokémon card featuring the creature virizion against a background with greenery from the expensive Temporal Forces series.

The most expensive Temporal Forces card so far is Iron Leaves ex. The base card allows you to switch your Active Pokémon with Iron Leaves ex when you play it from the bench, while also allowing you to transfer energy from the benched Pokémon to the ex card. However, the reason this is one of the most expensive chase cards is because of the Rare Special Illustration.

Bianca’s Devotion (Special Illustration Rare)

Bianca’s Devotion is another one of the many Super Illustration Rares featuring in the Temporal Forces expansion. This supporter card will allow you to heal all damage from 1 of your Pokémon that has 30HP or less remaining, which is going to be useful in competitive pinches. On top of that, the illustration is fantastic, immersive, and the card is going to be very rare. This is the second most valuable card in Temporal Forces.

Raging Bolt ex features twice on this list, the first being the Super Illustration Rare. It’s an extraordinary card illustrated by Teeziro on the Japanese card. Prime Catcher (ACE SPEC Rare)

A colorful and expensive pokémon trading card featuring an item or ability against a holographic background.

The seventh most expensive Temporal Forces card is Prime Catcher (ACE SPEC Rare), which is going to set you back a similar amount to the Special Illustration Rares. ACE SPEC Rare cards aren’t new to the Pokémon TCG, though the new Meta hailed by Temporal Forces breathes life back into the mechanic. It’s going to be interesting to see how the Prime Catcher card performs in competitive play, though that depends on whether or not people are able to get their hands on it due to the price.

Eri (Special Illustration Rare)

Another one of the most expensive cards found in the Pokémon TCG: Temporal Forces expansion is this Eri Supporter card, or at least, the Special Illustration Rare variant. It’s going to be used to force your opponent to reveal their hand, and you discard up to 2 Item cards you find there.

The Special Illustration Rare card variant is illustrated by DOM.

Fortunately, despite the fact that not all of the cards have released yet, the ones that have are already seeing preliminary presale prices on TCGPlayer. The card set list for Temporal Forces is also slowly going, and when the release date swings around you’re either going to be able to pick them up via packs, Battle Decks, or simply through third-party resellers. You’re going to want to consider many of these when building the best decks for Temporal Forces too.

That’s as much as we have on the most expensive cards from the Temporal Forces expansion. When the new expansion eventually does release, it’s likely that these prices will fluctuate heavily. Expect some to rise beyond the presale prices, while others will drop slightly. In the meantime, you might consider reading about the differences between MTG and Pokémon TCG, or even Yu Gi Oh!
