This set also offers some much-needed reprints of previously hard-to-acquire cards, like Baronne de Fleur and Forbidden Droplet. However, if you want them in the signature quarter century secret rarity, you will have to get really lucky; otherwise, it may prove to be fairly expensive.

Updated April 10, 2025 by Alexander J Pinera: The Rarity Collection sets in Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG are some of the best reprint collections of all time. This set is so good, it got multiple sequels that print some of the best cards in multiple different rarities. This is great for the card market as previously competitive cards become easier to obtain. With multiple high rarity options, sets like these also allow collectors and deck builders alike to choose the card styles they love best. This set in particular, gives some of the best generic cards a printing in valuable quarter century rare styles.

Values shown reflect the market prices found on TCGPlayer and are subject to change over time.

10 Artifact Lancea - Quarter Century Secret Rare - $32.78

    No More Banishes

Having your cards get banished can ruin your board. It is one of the best forms of removal but can also be used as a way to activate cards from the graveyard or use those cards as material for a Summon.

Artifact Lancea can be used to stop any deck that likes to banish its own cards. So if cards Special Summon themselves when they get banished or need to be banished to activate an effect, Artifact Lancea prevents those plays from even happening.

9 Lightning Storm - Quarter Century Secret Rare - $37.23*

    An Excellent Going Second Option

Unless you’re running a deck that loves to go second, you want to keep Lightning Storm in your side deck. That doesn’t mean the card is bad. It can be useful for breaking boards when you have nothing in play yourself.

You can get two choices. You can destroy all the Spells and Traps on your opponent’s side of the field, or destroy all their face-up monsters in attack position. Regardless, even if this card gets negated, it at least forces an interaction from your opponent.

8 Evenly Matched - Quarter Century Secret Rare - $38.55

Your Opponent Controls More Cards? Simply Banish Them

You could argue that Evenly Matched didn't need any rarity upgrade, but seeing it get one, or a few, isn't a bad thing. In total, there are seven rarities on offer in this set, with the quarter century secret rare being the most desirable, of course, and the price tag definitely attests to that.

So, not only can you play this Trap from your hand if you find yourself lost for cards, but when you utilize its effect to banish your opponent's monsters, you'll get your win with added style points. They count, right?

7 Called By The Grave - Quarter Century Secret Rare - $45.15

Your Opponent's Cards Called. They Want Their Effects Negated

The 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection is filled with incredible game-changing Spell cards for you to collect, and Called by the Grave is just one of those that can offer you a fantastic advantage while dueling. The ability to not only banish your opponent’s monsters from their graveyard before they can use their effects, but also monsters of the same name they still have fielded offers you a lot of protection.

        Posts

When you think about how a lot of archetypes treat different cards with the same name to make the decks synergize, this card can completely disrupt your entire opponent’s strategy. Just make sure you don't accidentally hit a hand trap you intend on using yourself next turn.

6 Forbidden Droplet - Quarter Century Secret Rare - $51.09

Make Your Opponent's Monsters Weaker And Your Graveyard Stronger

Despite being printed a total of five times before its sixth printing in the 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection, Forbidden Droplet has retained a high value. This is because of its incredible effect that allows you to send cards from your hand or field to the graveyard to halve your opponent's monster's Attack.

Halving monster attacks is just a bonus. The real reason players love this card is because it negates effects while not allowing your opponent to respond depending on the card types you send. If you can handle the discards, then this is a great board breaker and interruption.

5 Nibiru, The Primal Being - Quarter Century Secret Rare - $66.48

Opponent Summoning Too Much? Nibiru's Got You

Nibiru, The Primal Being is often used as a card that punishes players for summoning an excessive number of cards in one turn. Although it could give your opponent a very hard hitter on the field, it could render their entire setup useless, and you’ll be smiling inside knowing you’ve prevented yourself from dying on the first turn.

4 Effect Veiler - Quarter Century Secret Rare - $79.82

The OG Card With The OP Effect

Effect Veiler is one of the older cards still used in the game, and for that reason, it’s not a surprise to see it appear in this set. However, some may feel it wasn’t desperate for a reprint, especially considering it has already been printed in almost every rarity this set has to offer.

Nonetheless, it has continued to be used as a staple card in many decks since its introduction and that's owing to its incredible effect. The ability to negate your opponent’s monster’s effects can put you in a very strong position to counter any potential play, or at the very least protect your monsters and stall for some time.

3 Triple Tactics Talent - Quarter Century Secret Rare - $80.50

Triple The Tactics, Triple The Talent

Triple Tactics Talent is one of the best Spell cards in the entire set because, whenever your opponent activates one of their monster effects, you will have a choice of three situational effects to counter them with. Whether that’s gaining additional cards for yourself, stealing one of their monsters, or making them place cards back in their deck, all these effects only benefit you.

The quarter century secret rare is an eye-catching prize. However, if you care less about rarity and just want to play this card in your deck, this set has you covered with six lesser rarities. With three different ways to interact, your opponent will regret hand trapping you.

2 Infinite Impermanence - Quarter Century Secret Rare - $119.27

The Trap Card With Spell Card Usability

It’s hard to believe that a card that has already had seven printings before this set can still be so expensive, but that’s definitely a testament to how often Infinite Impermanence gets played. However, it’s no surprise when its ability allows it to be played straight from the hand, something foreign when it comes to Trap cards, and negates all the effects of one of your opponent's monsters.

If you’re a collector or have been a fan of this card since its existence, it will most likely be a given that you will want to get your hands on the quarter century secret rare of this card. However, should you just want some cheap copies, you’re able to pick some up for just three dollars a piece!

1 Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring - Quarter Century Secret Rare - $153.24

The Hand Trap That Keeps Coming Back

Due to its ability to negate a lot of powerful effects and stop your opponent from unloading their entire army of monsters onto the field, Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring continues to be a commonly played card. Its other effects are also incredible, and collectively make this card a must for any deck.

While you can pick up other rarities of this card for a fraction of the cost, the quarter century secret rare variant is a thing of beauty. If Ash Blossom wasn’t a collector's piece before, it most certainly is now, and a card you definitely wouldn’t regret pulling.
