This guide will help you find this quest and navigate to the top of the tower in order to get the treasure nestled within the summit. You may need a hand because scaling heights isn't particularly common in Geralt's journey.

Where To Start Treasure Hunt: The Royal Air Force

The Royal Air Force starts east of Velen, at Vikk Watchtower. You will be assaulted by a large flock of harpies on your arrival and will have to shoot the bogeys down.

As a witcher, Geralt is better suited to fighting enemies that have a stronger adherence to gravity than those that require ground-based air defense. That said, his crossbow will be particularly effective by giving you a means of downing the flying monsters where they can be attacked with less difficulty.

When the area is safe, search the entrance to the watchtower. There is a corpse slumped against the archway that has both the letter and key needed to start this quest.

How To Climb The Tower

The treasure is located on the highest point of Vikk Watchtower. Considering that the structure is quite literally a shell of its former self and partially collapsed, getting to the top takes some work.

Go right from the archway, enter the basement, and take the stairs up. From there, you will need to jump from ledge to ledge, through an unsafe route. The chest is next to a nest, ready for you to claim. You will have to leap onto a half-crumbled staircase to reach it.

The chest contains the Pyerog Runestone, which is used in creating the Dumplings enchantment, which improves healing received from food.
