One of The Witcher 3's defining traits would be the consequences of your actions. In nearly every quest, you will have to make a decision that determines how the event will end. In the game's best quests, these decisions have a lasting impact that is felt later on in Geralt's story.

Contract: Skellige's Most Wanted tallies the choices that you have made across the game's witcher contracts. The side quest is something of a trial to determine just how bloodthirsty your Geralt has been, and if sentient monsters should fear for their lives when crossing paths with the old witcher.

How To Start Contract: Skellige's Most Wanted

This contract can only be started by talking to a Skelliger in Fyresdal, on the southern coast of Ard Skellig. He will be standing among a large crowd in the town, talking about a monster attack.

You might visit Fyresdal when completing the quest Worthy of Trust. You can find Johann Bohner there if you made the right decisions.

The man will ask Geralt for help. When pressed for details, he is unable to give clear answers and cannot even describe the monster accurately. Still, he will accept any price when negotiating. Agree to help him to start the quest.

Investigating The Wagon

According to the man, the monsters had attacked a merchant on the road northeast of Fyresdal. When you arrive, use Witcher Senses to investigate the two clues.

Human Corpse

This body is laying on the road and is hard to miss. Geralt notes that he does not appear to have been killed by nekkers.

Dead Horse

The horse's carcass is next to the human corpse. Once again, it appears that nekkers were not responsible for its demise.

A cutscene will play after you investigate both clues. In it, Geralt is nearly crushed by a boulder. By this point, there have been too many suspicious events to ignore. Climb up the mountain and search for clues.

You can use Witcher Senses to highlight furrows left in the mountain. At the very top, Geralt will observe a set of nekker footprints. Follow them into a nearby cave.

The tracks go bring you close to a pack of wolves. You will be able to avoid fighting them by keeping your distance.

Surviving The Cave

Another boulder will fall behind Geralt after he walks into the cave, stopping you from escaping. The only choice you have is to go deeper into the cave. You will be attacked by two endrega warriors as soon as you enter the conspicuously arena-shaped chamber.

You will be fighting insectoids instead of nekkers. Grease your sword with Insectoid Oil and prepare to drink Golden Oriole potions to deal with their poison.

After you defeat the first two enemies, a large group of endrega workers will emerge from the ground. They will be followed by a single arachas. The most important part of this fight is to manage your resources and avoid burning through your consumables too quickly.

When all the monsters have been slain, you can continue your investigation. Use Witcher Senses to find the nekker footprints and follow them out of the chamber. Along the way, Geralt discovers a hollowed-out nekker foot, used as a boot to mislead him. The tracks change, making it clear that someone had indeed changed their footprints.

The tracks end in a final room. Geralt will refer to the crude drawings, managing to piece them together and uncover the plot. More importantly, he figures out where the assassins will meet. It is a short distance away.

Face To Face With The Assassins

Go to the meeting place at nighttime. Geralt will be confronted with his would-be assassins, a troll, godling, doppler, and werewolf. They accuse Geralt of being a murderer and explain that they wanted to make him fear them. The werewolf takes it a step further, wanting to kill Geralt as well.

They insist that Geralt enjoys killing monsters and would never help them. This is the part where you can prove them wrong, if you can back your words up. You can refute their claim by listing out quests where you spared a monster instead of killing it.

A Greedy God

You will have to spare Allgod.

Ladies Of The Wood

Completing this quest will be enough. Geralt will always help Johnny during this quest.

Contract: Deadly Delights

Let Salma live after finding her in Novigrad.

Contract: An Elusive Thief

Allow the doppler to escape after defeating him.

In Wolf's Clothing

Lift Morkvarg's curse and spare him after he is returned to his human form.

Novigrad Dreaming

Allow Sarah to remain in the house instead of evicting her.

The Final Trial

Choose to be patient with the trolls and let them live.

Contract: Missing Miners

Spare Wham-a-Wham at the end of the quest.

You will need to have at least two of these options to avoid fighting all the monsters. If you had done nothing but kill monsters or if you provoke the gang, Geralt will need to fight all of them except the godling. If you have been a merciful witcher, you will only fight the werewolf.

The contract will end after your final encounter, without any gold but with an interesting story.
