Summary

  • Super Smash Bros. is filled with tons of iconic characters, though it could use some more Legend of Zelda representation.
  • In a new YouTube video, a content creator imagined just what it would be like if Skull Kid from Majora's Mask joined the fray.
  • The end result is a wickedly cool video with major Halloween vibes.

For as vast as the Super Smash Bros. roster has historically been, it's pretty lacking in the Legend of Zelda department. Of course, we have the current Link, plus a few iterations (Toon, Young), along with Ganondorf and Zelda herself (along with Sheik), but it certainly isn't enough compared to say Fire Emblem.

Few things would be cooler than a Smash Bros. game with the likes of Tingle, Toon Zelda (especially with Echoes of Wisdom out), Midna and, of course, Skull Kid. While we know that Super Smash Bros. Ultimate isn't getting any future DLC, and we don't know if there will be a successor on the next Switch, a content creator has taken it upon themselves to imagine what Skull Kid in a Smash Bros. would look like.

The end result is super awesome, and particularly appropriate as Halloween draws near.

Skull Kid Has Clocked In

In a new near-five-minute-long YouTube video, creator King Bob has put together a reveal trailer for Skull Kid. The creator has published a plethora of Smash Bros. concept videos, including videos dedicated to the movie version of Mario, Waluigi, as well as Toad.

Seriously, if you love Smash Bros. and creative concepts, then give their videos a whirl.

Not only does the trailer serve as a sweet introduction to Skull Kid, but it also gives a glimpse at what some possible moves could look like. It's not much, but it is enough to give the impression that Skull Kid will be a pesky foe, especially with that signature laugh.

Also, we get a look at Bowser being nice for once in his life. The fearsome foe is seen consoling Isabel, as the even more fearsome Skull Kid makes his way into the world of Smash. There's also a major twist at the end that we won't spoil, but is worth sticking around for. All of this is to say that fan creations can be hit or miss, but this is a certified banger in our book.
