Pastel Pink Joy-Con Have Been Restocked For Princess Peach: Showtime's Release

Despite all of the big games that have already been released so far this year, today might be the biggest day for video games so far in 2024. Three huge titles all releasing on the same day. Dragon's Dogma 2 for those with an in-depth RPG itch that needs scratching, Rise of the Ronin for people fed up with waiting for a Ghost of Tsushima sequel, and Princess Peach: Showtime if a fun, colorful platformer is what you're after, and the colorful Joy-Con released alongside it have been restocked for launch day.
Nintendo revealed it would be releasing new Joy-Con for Showtime at the end of January. No fancy design like other landmark games have received, but possibly the last game that will ever get its own Joy-Con ahead of a new Nintendo console's release, rumored for early 2025. Pre-orders for the pastel pink Joy-Con sold out pretty quickly, but it seems stock of them was being saved for release day when those who didn't place a pre-order head to storefronts to pick up their copies of the game.

They don't appear to have sold out immediately, likely because attention is split across three big releases today, but they also probably won't be in stock for long. If you have had your eye on them, and you'd like to make your Showtime playthrough even pinker than it already promises to be, then you'd be well-advised to pick up the new Joy-Con sooner rather than later.

While other limited edition Joy-Con, like the Tears of the Kingdom ones, have been made available post-release, no offense to Peach, but that probably won't happen for the pastel pink option. On the other hand, there's no distinction that these are Showtime Joy-Con which might mean they are re-released and sold as pastel pink options in the future rather than Joy-Con directly tied to the release of Showtime.
If you don't already have Showtime and Nintendo's new pastel pink Joy-Con, you can still pick up Walmart's bundle that combines the two and comes with some free Princess Peach scrunchies. If unique controllers tied to specific games are your thing, Xbox Design Lab now has Fallout options so you can grab one ahead of the series' TV adaptation which debuts on Amazon Prime on April 11, 2024.
