In Remnant 2, Archetypes act as classes that shape your gameplay and character build. When you select an Archetype, you'll gain access to its specific armor set, weapons, skills, and perks. Since each Archetype is special, you have a choice among the 11 available options. In order to unlock Archetypes, you need to find their corresponding crafting materials, though many of these materials are well hidden and require some skill to obtain them.

Among the different Archetypes you can choose from in the game, the Archon Archetype is one that was well-hidden and remained secret until a much later time after the game's release. It was initially uncovered by dataminers, and ever since then, everyone has been attempting to uncover the method for unlocking it.

Find The Biome Portal
Once you've collected and equipped all these items, you'll notice a red corrupted aura encircling your character. This means you can proceed to the next step.
Head back to the Labyrinth and navigate your way to the Corrupted Biome Portal.
Starting from the Fractured Ingress checkpoint, progress until you locate the shifting portal. Here, you need to wait for a specific spot before leaping into it; you can refer to the picture below for guidance.
Once you have the location, wait for approximately two to three seconds, then jump into the portal. Even though it might appear as if you're about to die, a bridge will form to provide you with a safe landing.
In the center of this area, there is a stone statue where the Cipher Rod can be found for crafting the Enigma Gun. However, this isn't your destination.
On the right side, you'll notice a strange Biome Portal that shares the same corrupted red effect that you have.
With the complete loadout on hand and equipped, you can interact with this portal and use the Biome Portal Key to unlock it.
Upon doing this, you'll be transported to the backrooms, and here you must locate the Strange Box.
How To Find The Strange Box
While you're in the backrooms, there's a restricted timeframe to locate the Strange Box. Once the time is up, you'll be kicked out and returned to the entrance of the Corrupted Biome Door.
Luckily, you can repeatedly enter the backrooms without any problem until you locate this crafting material.
Make sure to use the Fortune Hunter Skill to help you highlight the items in the backrooms. In addition to finding the Strange Box, you'll also have the opportunity to acquire the Gunfire Security Lanyard Amulet and the Bisected Ring.
Final Steps
With the Strange Box in hand, the process is the same as all other Archetypes.
Take it back to Wallace at Ward 13 and use it, alongside ten Lumenite Crystal and 1,000 scarp to craft the Hexahedron.
Now simply equip this Engram in order to unlock the Archon Archetype.
It's crucial to emphasize that you must have the complete loadout equipped, not just obtained, to be able to interact with the Corrupted Biome Portal and unlock the Archon Archetype.
Archon Archetype Overview
The Archon stands as a unique Archetype that centers around weapon Mods and generating Power Mods, all while providing support to your teammates.
This particular Archetype allows you to optimize the potential of weapon Mods within the game and grants you frequent opportunities to use them.
Arguably, the Archon stands as one of the best choices for a main or secondary Archetype due to its array of skills and perks.
Weapon Mods are notably beneficial, and they can have both offensive and defensive capabilities. Typically, powerful Mods require longer cooldown periods before you can use them again.
However, thanks to the advantages presented by the Archon Archetype's perks, you'll find yourself waiting for less to unleash your weapon Mods repeatedly. This will prove to be useful if you are dealing with a large group of enemies and boss fights.
