As announced on Pokemon Day, Raikou is making its appearance in Pokemon Sleep. Fittingly, just like in the main series games, Raikou is very rare, but through the use of special items, players can increase their chances of meeting and befriending the game's first legendary Pokemon.

PostsLike most Pokemon Sleep events, you can participate by simply going to bed. However, the next two weeks will allow you to increase your odds of encountering Raikou and studying all its sleep styles, so enterprising trainers will want to take advantage of the opportunity. In fact, they might even be able to take home more than one.
Event Information
This event will run until Monday, April 8th, at 4:00 AM local time, and you can encounter Raikou by sleeping on the Greengrass Isle. During this event, Snorlax's favorite berry will include Greppa Berries, Electric-type Pokemon will bring you extra ingredients, and Electric-type Pokemon will have their skills triggered more often.
In addition to Raikou, other Electric-type Pokemon will be easier to encounter during this event.
How To Recruit Raikou In Pokemon Sleep
Raikou will appear regardless of sleep style starting at Master Rank 9, so for most players, you will need to use a Raikou Incense to get it to appear at all and study all three of its Sleep styles. Keep in mind, however, that Raikou will still appear after this event ends.
Raikou will require 30 friendship points to befriend, and you should use a Master Biscuit to befriend it instantly or get Raikou Biscuits, which will give you six friendship points each. You can increase the chances of Raikou being hungry with Friendship Incense or a Good Camp Ticket.
A shiny Raikou will behave like other shiny Pokemon and be befriended instantly.
Raikou is a skills-focused helper who boosts the odds of your other helpers triggering their skills. However, while you can befriend multiple Raikou, you can only have one on your team at a time.
How To Obtain Raikou Mane
Raikou Mane is used in the special Event Exchange to obtain items such as Raikou candy and Raikou Incense. Players can get some once per day from a sleep session.
They can also receive it from friends who are also participating in the event by checking their Research Community tab. How much you get depends on your closeness with other players.
If you cannot participate in Research Community, you will get 50 Raikou Mane as a gift.
Finally, players can obtain Raikou Mane by completing special event quests.
