The Next PlayStation Live-Service Game Apparently "Doesn't Feel Good To Play"

Summary
- Things apparently aren't looking good for Fairgame$, the next live-service project from Sony and PlayStation.
- According to Colin Moriarty, the game is "super clunky," and a pre-alpha test didn't go down particularly well.
- The game, which was revealed in 2023, has had no new info shared since its initial CGI trailer.
If it wasn't already abundantly clear, PlayStation's push into the live-service market isn't ending anytime soon. Even after the shutdown of Concord, the cancellation of The Last of Us Factions 2, or even the cancellation of a God of War live-service title, among other movements, Sony is still pursuing its proverbial golden goose.

Sony can’t keep getting away with this!
Posts 11Beyond Bungie's Marathon, Sony also has Fairgame$, a "competitive heist" game that was initially unveiled in 2023, though has not seen an update since. Apparently, that game, too, is in dire straits.
There Might Be A Reason Why We Haven't Seen More From Fairgame$
As first shared on Bluesky, according to Colin Moriary, an ex-IGN editor turned podcaster, Fairgame$ "doesn’t feel good to play" and it’s "super clunky."
Fairgames, from PlayStation' Haven Games, apparently "doesn’t feel good to play and it’s “super clunky” in its current guise." According to PlayStation Podcast Sacred Symbols, the game recently had a pre-alpha under codename Project Hearts, but the feedback has not been good. — (@mauronl.bsky.social) 2025-05-24T14:49:49.993Z
That bit of information comes from a recent episode of his Sacred Symbols PlayStation podcast, where he also shared that the game underwent a pre-alpha under the codename of Project Hearts, but the feedback wasn't particularly good.
The game, which is being developed by Haven Studios, was reportedly pushed into 2026, according to insider Jeff Grubb. Before that bit of information, a survey was sent to PlayStation gamers asking about the kinds of games they play, as well as for their thoughts on the reveal trailer.
Most recently, it was reported that Jade Raymond, who helped found Haven, had exited the studio after a playtest wasn't received particularly well. That bit of info added additional fuel to an already beleaguered title. Today's news just keeps that fire going. Ultimately, only time will tell if Fairgame$ sees the light of day, or if it joins Sony's other failed pursuits.
