This boss absorbs Electric-type damage and will heal if hit with Electric attacks.
This boss has a nasty move combination that it will attempt to use to keep your team from ever being able to move again.
Imposing Skyscraper will use Stagnant Air to increase the chance that it will be able to stun you and your teammates with its Electric attacks like the area-of-effect Mazionga and the devastating single-target Ziodyne.
Once it has your team stunned, it will go in for the kill with Herculean Strike. This move is a powerful area-of-effect physical attack that Imposing Skyscraper will use after it has shocked your team in an attempt to critically strike and Down your team. This loop can cause you and your team to be chained from one immobilizing status ailment to another.
Imposing Skyscraper Battle Guide
Here on floor112 of the Yabbashah block of Tartarus you will find the Floor Guardian, Imposing Skyscraper. Any enemy you come across without any elemental weakness will always be fought with the same two fundamental strategies: debuffing and boosting critical strike chances.
This boss's entire strategy revolves around inflicting status ailments on you and your entire team. Bring items that can cure status ailments, such as Patra Gem, Amrita Gem, and Amrita Soda. You will need to use these items as soon as a status ailment is inflicted or else the fight will snowball in the boss's favor.
Since this boss primarily uses electric-based skills, you will want to avoid bringing any team members who are vulnerable to Electric attacks. You should leave Yukari and Aigis out of this battle.
Bring Koromaru For His Revolution
Luckily for the team, Koromaru’s Persona has the powerful support skill Revolution. This skill will significantly increase the rate at which your team will land critical blows.
Since this boss cannot be knocked down normally, you will have to get lucky to All-Out attack during this fight.
Koromaru is not weak to Electric and can dish out some good Dark damage.
As soon as Koromaru's turn comes around, your priority is to cast Revolution. On subsequent turns you can use his basic attack to try and get some critical hits of his own.
Akihiko And Mitsuru Will Debuff The Boss
For this fight, you should bring Akihiko for his skill Tarunda, which will reduce the boss’s attack stat for three turns. He can also land devastating Strike attacks - which the boss does not resist in the hopes of knocking it down. Akihiko can also pivot to the healer role during the fight if need be.
When the fight starts, cast Tarunda with Akihiko before doing anything else. Afterward, he can go on the offensive until someone needs healing.
Mitsuru brings along with her the use of Ice-type magic to get around the boss’s affinities. She also has access to Rakunda, giving her the ability to reduce Imposing Skyscraper’s defense for three turns.
As with Akihiko, when the fight starts, cast Rakunda with Mitsuru. Afterwards, just lay into the boss with Ice attacks.
Use The Jack Brothers Theurgy
The Protagonist has access to the powerful Jack Brothers Theurgy, which can be especially helpful on bosses like Imposing Skyscraper, who have no innate weaknesses.
The Jack Brothers Theurgy does a staggering amount of Almighty spell damage and has a very high chance of inflicting Down on the boss, especially after it uses Stagnant Air. Use this to turn the tables on the boss after it increases everyone’s chance of being inflicted by statuses.
The Protagonist has the freedom to choose from any role you see fit for this fight. Having a Persona with support skills to further buff your team should be considered.
One of the best Personas to choose from here is the Justice Arcana Robin Hood. This Persona gets the Almighty spell Megido at level 38 and Resist Ailments at level 40.
