The last door guardian boss Shadow fight you’ll encounter is against Neo Minotaur and its support Shadow Rebellious Cyclops as you near the endgame content of the Persona 3 Reload: Episode Aigis DLC story. There are only two of them, but they deal conflicting damage types, and they hit pretty hard.

Good Electric damage is essential to gaining the upper hand in the Neo Minotaur and Rebellious Cyclops fight in Episode Aigis, since not many other kinds of damage are all that effective here. Akihiko and Ken both have a last chance to shine in this final boss Shadow fight!

Rebellious Cyclops And Neo Minotaur Affinities And Attacks

Since you'll be dealing with both physical and magic damage in the fight against Neo Minotaur and Rebellious Cyclops in Persona 3 Reload: Episode Aigis, you'd do well to have access to healing magic, since you're definitely going to take some damage in this fight.

  • Ken is a pretty essential teammate for this fight, since he can not only deal good Electric damage, but he'll likely also have healing and revival magic.
  • Akihiko may present a slight liability with his Ice weakness if he doesn't have moves or accessories to counter, but his extremely powerful Electric magic and team-wide support skills are helpful in taking down Neo Minotaur and Rebellious Cyclops.
  • Yukari is always a good choice for healing the team in battle, but her Theurgy skills can both make a big difference in this particular battle.

How To Beat Neo Minotaur And Rebellious Cyclops

The caveat with Neo Minotaur is not only its limited ability to take damage, but that it has severe single-target Fire and Ice magic moves with Inferno and Diamond Dust, respectively. Depending on the fusions you've been making so far in the Velvet Room, you may not even have these moves yet yourself, but you'll need to deal with them all the same. Give Aigis a Persona resistant to one or both of these elements to keep her safe during the battle.

When it comes to the support Shadow in the Neo Minotaur fight, Rebellious Cyclops deals impressive physical damage, so you'd do well to be able to either evade or counter this back at the Shadow to land some free chip damage instead of taking a hefty hit. This means you'll need to handle heavy and severe-level attacks, both physical and magical, so come prepared to heal!

An annoying feature you'll come across in this Persona 3 Reload: Episode Aigis boss fight is that Neo-Minotaur has an Invigorate skill, which heals it a considerable amount after every turn it takes in battle. This pauses when it's impacted by a status ailment like Shock, which makes your ability to deal Electric damage even more critical in this fight.

Thankfully, Ken scratches the need for both Electrical damage and healing, so he's all but essential to the fight. Since you're not dealing a lot of physical damage during this battle, you can safely keep Ken on offense unless he has to heal the team, since Kala-Nemi is outputting some pretty good Electrical damage. This allows Akihiko to effortlessly switch between dealing stronger Electric damage and buffing the team's evasion and accuracy (boosting his Theurgy gauge in the process).

If you've got the team healed, buffed, and ready to attack, it's a good time to use Yukari's support Theurgy skill, Tranquility, during this fight. She'll be able to boost the next magic attack of everyone on the team, so if Akihiko, Ken, and Aigis are all squared away to deal some heavy Electric damage on their next turns, boosting their magic attack power is a quick way to end the fight against these tricky Shadows.

Rewards For Defeating Neo Minotaur In Episode Aigis

Finally, your final door guardian boss Shadow fight in Episode Aigis! You've still got plenty of game left to play yet, but there are a few rewards to grab before moving onto the endgame fights. Like the last battle, you'll need to have collected six total Twilight Fragments in order to open both of the reward chests, which contain:

  • Antimatter Cannon, a strong new weapon for Aigis.
  • Godspeed Shoes, which your male teammates can use as footwear.

Additionally, you're receiving your final Major Arcana card with the Hanged Man Major Arcana Card entering your Shuffle Time deck after this fight. It allows you to gain one Incense, chosen at random, which is an immediate way to bolster one Persona's stats without any extra work. It's good for powering up Personas that are good but not great, as well as for doubling down on an already powerful stat.
