How To Unlock The Pickaxe

To obtain the Pickaxe, you need to reach Friendship Level 11 with My Melody and unlock the Revive the Oasis Story quest.

Level Up My Melody's Friendship

To level up your friendship with My Melody, you'll want to give her three gifts daily. This process may take some time, but there are efficient ways to speed it up.

Avoid changing your device's date and time to try and time travel to be able to give more gifts each day, as it can cause a glitch with this quest, preventing it from unlocking properly.

One of the most effective methods is by unlocking the espresso machine by Hangyodon after you've acquired the diver skill. With the espresso machine, you can make a Pink Latte using strawberries, which, when gifted, significantly boosts your friendship with My Melody. Alternatively, you can simply gift My Melody strawberries obtained from Pocacco.

If Hello Kitty is following you while you craft the Pink Latte, you'll have the random chance to create extra.

Start The Revive The Oasis Story Quest

Once you've reached Friendship Level 11 with My Melody, you will unlock the story quest titled Revive the Oasis. This quest is the key to obtaining the Pickaxe. To do so, head to Gemstone Town, where the quest will guide you through the necessary steps. Upon starting the quest, you'll receive the Pickaxe plans.

Craft The Pickaxe

With the plans in hand, the next step is to craft the materials needed to craft the Pickaxe: ten Woodblocks and three Ingots.

• Woodblocks can be easily crafted using sticks or coconuts gathered around the island.
• For the Ingots, you will need to craft it using iron. The easiest way to obtain iron is by playing the matching game in Gemstone Town, which frequently rewards you with the necessary materials.

Once you've gathered enough wood and iron, you can craft the Pickaxe at the crafting table by Chococat's tent.

What Can You Use A Pickaxe For?

It might seem counterintuitive, but the Pickaxe isn't used for mining ore or gathering crystals. Instead, it's needed to complete certain quests that require breaking boulders and rocks to access specific areas. However, this may change with future updates.
