Autocannon is best for the Terminid build because the gun tends to take out swarms of bugs and kill large targets in a few hits. Enemies such as Bile Spewers, Charger, and Brood Commander can be killed in two rounds from Autocannon.

For example, firing two Autocannon rounds at Bile Spewer's back will kill it instantly. A well-aimed two rounds from Autocannon fired at the Charger’s left or right leg is more than enough. Land a headshot at Brood Commander, and it will one-shot it, saving you the trouble of wasting a complete magazine from the primary weapon.

Eagle Cluster Bomb

Getting overrun by bugs becomes a common sight at the Suicide level or above. For moments like these, using any weapon is unwise and wastes ammo without giving many results. Therefore, Stratagems such as the Eagle Cluster Bomb are a perfect fit for mob control.

Eagle Cluster Bomb can potentially take out more than ten targets if aimed correctly and timely. This is effective against enemies like Scavengers, Hunters, Warriors, Stalkers, Brood Commanders, and, in some cases, Bile Spewers as well. Only the Charger and Bile Titan are immune to Eagle Cluster Bomb.

Orbital Laser

While the Autocannon and Eagle Cluster Bomb are more than enough while facing Terminids, multiple Chargers, and Bile Titans can sometimes flood the extraction zone. In moments like this, you need a much more powerful weapon that can potentially take out multiple high-value threats to make extraction possible for the squad.

This is where you will find the Orbital Laser to be an asset in your battles. It can be used to take out a large swarm of bugs as the laser traces targets and runs for a duration of a few seconds.

If the duration is not exhausted but the target being attacked is killed, the laser beam will move to the next high-value target.

The Orbital Laser is a double-edged sword. While it has the potential to take out two Bile Titans, provided they are positioned in proximity, the laser beam can also hit your squad mates, killing them instantly.

Communication with party members and a careful throw of Orbital Laser stratagem on the ground will ensure no squad mates die when the beam strikes the planet from the Destroyer.

Tesla Tower

Terminids are slow and prefer dealing melee damage instead of range, and this makes them an easy target to attack from a distance. The Tesla Tower is the best defense stratagem, and it is especially useful while defending zones such as the extraction point.

You can also create certain choke points by deploying the A/ARC-3 Tesla Tower in a narrow passage. Any bug that comes into its proximity will instantly get friedby the powerful zap of electricity. Furthermore, this electric jolt connects multiple targets and can kill two to three bugssimultaneously.

Primary Weapon

SMG-37 Defender is by far the best weapon for the Terminid build in the game. It has 70 damage and a 45 clip size. This gives you enough firepower per magazine to take out small to medium-sized bugs before needing to reload.

This SMG also has a light armor penetrating Weapon Trait, which means that some, not all, bullets will penetrate armor and damage an armored target. While the usage of this weapon is not ideal against armored foes, at times, you don’t have any other option but to unload an entire magazine on a target.

The best part of the SMG-37 Defender is the One Handed Weapon Trait. This means that you can shoot while running and turning the camera to the front. The diver will blind fire and can kill multiple targetschasing him.

Enemies like Hunters and Stalkers relentlessly chase you down, and this Weapon Trait helps a lot in defeating the targets by blind firing and running away.

Secondary Weapon

The P-19 Redeemer has slightly reduced damage and magazine size but twice the fire rate when compared to the SMG-37 Defender. This gun is perfect for a secondary weapon as you get a very high burst of bullets fired onto a target.

This pistol is efficient at finishing the targets off. Foes that are near death can be killed by swapping to P-19 Redeemer instead of reloading the primary. As an added bonus, this weapon, too, comes with Light Armor Penetrating and One Handed Weapon Trait, exactly the same as the primary weapon for the Terminid build.

Grenade

The choice of grenade heavily impacts the overall build. G-16 Impact is by far the best explosive throwable to carry as it comes with a fuse time of zero seconds. This means that the G-123 Thermite Grenade detonates immediately after touching a target, this is very useful while clearing out Egg Nests or Main Missionswithout wasting any time.

Since the fuse time is zero seconds, you should not cook the grenade in hand for throwing. G-16 Impact explodes immediately as you cook it, and this will kill your diver.

Armor Choice

Armor choice matters the most as you progress and start playing at Suicide level or above. Democracy Protects is the best Armor Passive that you should keep an eye out for. While this passive buff is found on armor in the Premium Warbond, you do not need to buy it, as a similar alternate is present in the Standard Warbond as well.

The DP-40 Hero of the Federation is our top choice for the armor to equip while running with the Terminid build in the game. The armor gives your diver a 50 percent chance to not die after taking lethal damagethat otherwise could have killed your diver.

Additionally, the armor also prevents all damage from bleeding whenever the chest hemorrhages. Both of these Armor Passives make DP-40 Hero of the Federation a must-have armor, especially when you do not own the Premium Warbond.

Best Booster
