PostsThe heart of the game is growing all sorts of different beautiful flowers to fulfill requests, sell them, or just make the place more lively. The plants grow quite fast in this game already, but regardless, you can make them grow that much faster by using compost. You know what they say: one man's trash is another man's (or plant's) treasure.
What Is Compost?
Compost is one of the few functional tools to help you grow your garden more efficiently. It is used to fertilize your plants, and although it is referred to in this way at the beginning of the game, there is no material actually called "compost" that you can use.
"Compost" is like an umbrella term to refer to fertilizers and the act of processing disposable materials into fertilizers.
How To Use The Compost Bin
The compost bin is the first tool you will learn to use during story mode, and you can use it immediately when you arrive in the garden. This tool can help you process leaves, weeds, and plant cuttings into fertilizer to help your plants grow faster.
The process is very straightforward:
- Interact with the bin toopen the menu screen.
- Select the leaf piles or cuttings from your inventory to transfer them into the bin.
- Close the bin screen.
The materials will be processed without any further action.
There is a limit of 300 leaf piles you can gather together at a time, to produce the maximum amount of fertilizer, make sure you input leaves in batches of 300. Putting in too few will only make a little bit of fertilizer, and it runs out quite fast.
Where To Get Fertilizers
The compost bin can transform things into plant fertilizer, which is very useful. However, there is a different kind of fertilizer you can use to enhance your gardening experience: seed fertilizer.
Seed fertilizer will make your plants produce seeds faster. You can buy this kind of fertilizer from Leslie's in the Village Square. It has a cost of 250 florins, and it's non-refillable.
