While it takes more work than a normal, or even reinforced, fire, it ensures that you always have a place to keep you and your home warm during the colder months. It's a great way to make your allies and yourself more comfortable while also ensuring your base looks the best that it can.

How To Build A Stone Fireplace

You can find the Stone Fireplace as a recipe in your guidebook on the second page in the utility section. It requires 42 Stones, which means you'll be taking a lot of trips back and forth to get it built. You can ask Kelvin to help while you carry four at a time, but it will still take a lot of trips to complete.

The fireplace can't be disassembled if there is a fire or sticks inside of it.

Once you've placed all 42 Stones into the blueprint, you'll be able to place the base of the fire by equipping a stick and holding it near the Stone Fireplace. You can also strengthen the fire by taking up to two half-quarter logs and placing them on either side of the small fire.

The opening in the back of the fireplace allows you to create a chimney that gives off the smoke effect. You can stack stone walls around the fireplace to create your chimney, sticking out of the larger structure.

How To Find Stone Quickly

If you're having a hard time finding Stones to make the fireplace, try looking in and around streams of water and away from the beaches. There seems to be a lot more on the edges of rivers, streams, and similar areas, but it's still wise to ask Kelvin to help you decrease your work.

How To Use The Stone Fireplace

As with any other fire, you can cook or use it to create clean water with a pot. You can also place your food directly on the fire for a quick meal. Due to the way your POV is angled while looking at the pot in the fireplace, it can be hard to see the crafting gear or other prompts from certain angles.
