Because when the going gets tough, the tough aim down sights and let this pistol work its magic – your opponents won't know what hit them. The island beckons and the Lock On Pistol is your plus-one to the adventure – are you game? Let’s begin.

What Is The Lock On Pistol?

Lock On Pistol is your Fortnite sidekick – a snappy, semi-automatic pistol with a built-in bullet tracking system for your foes. This system activates when you Aim Down Sights (ADS). It's a powerful weapon, giving you a strong advantage in the heat of battle.

How To Find The Lock On Pistol

This hard-to-pin-down beauty can be found in the wild as floor loot, hitching a ride in supply drops, tucked away in chests, or zipping around with Supply Drones.

You can also potentially acquire a Lock On Pistol whilefishing.

To fish, equip a Fishing Rod, locate a fishing spot near water marked by ripples, cast the rod, wait for a bite signaled by a bobber dip, reel in, and collect the loot. Could it be a juicy fish... or a Lock On Pistol?

Increase your chances of finding the Lock On Pistol by landing at high-tier loot areas, listening closely for the distinct sound of Supply Drones, and possibly even exploring obscure spots untouched by other players.

How To Use The Lock On Pistol

To wield the Lock On Pistol like a true Fortnitian pro, aim it at your adversary and let the tracking system do its thing. As you ADS, a circle appears and starts filling up. Wait for at least one tick to ensure a successful lock-on, then fire.

The tracking system has a maximum range of 50 meters, and a blue circle will surround your crosshair when active. When an opponent enters this circle, up to four bullets will charge, all hitting the target when you fire the weapon.

The pièce de résistance? The fourth bullet in the burst is always a critical hit, dealing 100 damage. This can be a game-changer, especially in close-quarters combat.

The fourth bullet load-up can take some time, so in a life-or-death situation, there may be better choices for your firefight.
