This brings us to Leo Kliesen, a Bajiquan-trained fighter who utilizes their speed and tactical mind to overwhelm their opposition, enabling them to constantly apply pressure and deal mass amounts of damage the moment they find an opening and punish their opponent accordingly. While their attacks are seemingly straightforward, their speed and flawless execution make Leo a strong challenger.

Leo Kliesen Overview

Leo's playstyle is aggressive, fast-paced, and varied due to their ability to access two unique stances, encouraging them to keep their opponent guessing and always on their toes. Leo has several ways to keep pressure on the opposition, whether their Jin Ji Du Li Stance or Fo Bu Stance.

Despite their access to unique stances, Leo is relatively easy to pick up and learn compared to the vast majority of the cast. Still, getting all of their attacks down will take a bit more time and effort, which can be troublesome for some players. Overall, they shouldn't feel impossible to get the hang of after spending time in Practice with them.

The one glaring downside to Leo that carries over from previous entries is that they are a bit too predictable and straightforward. While they have access to more mix-ups and pressure options this time around, their gameplan is still a bit more linear than you might expect, which can be a problem against experienced players.

Leo Kliesen Important Moves

With the general overview of Leo Kliesen out of the way, it's time to move on to their most crucial moves, the ones you will be using to initiate your offense, whether it be to enter one of their unique stances, punish or counter an attack, or begin a devastating combo.

It is an aspect that is less reliable in Tekken 8 than it was in previous entries, but one that Leo still shines in despite all the changes!

Leo Kliesen Combos

As you can see from the two sections above, Leo Kliesen can be a bit too much of a straight shooter, having an oddly linear playstyle despite having access to two unique stances. While they open their offense slightly, it doesn't do it to a degree that makes them feel unpredictable or random.

However, Leo can still apply tremendous pressure on their opponent, and their blazingly fast movement and attacks make them hard to deal with once they get on a roll. Once they get started, it's hard to get them to stop, and the combos below will showcase just how scary they can be with Counter Hits, Wall Carries, and much more!

Leo Kliesen Tips And Tricks

Finally, now that you have a general grasp on their combos and basic strategy, we will close with a few more tips and tricks you can utilize with Leo to get an advantage over your opposition.

Entering their Jin Ji Du Li Stance via f 4 is an excellent way to begin your offense. It is a mid-attack that gives you a +9 frame advantage on block, which can be used as a knowledge check on players who may not be familiar with Leo and newcomers. Once in this stance, you can go into a plethora of other actions, making it a robust mix-up tool as well.

Furthermore, pressing b 1 then 4 will also put you into their Jin Ji Du Li Stance, but will have Leo perform a shoulder check beforehand, making it an excellent way to whiff-punish your opponent and immediately enter the stance.

Using these tips and everything outlined above should give you a decent handle on how to use Leo in combat, but remember there is still much more to be learned and discovered with this character, so do not hesitate to explore more with them, as this is only the entry-level of what they're capable of!
