Part of unlocking the 'To The Victor Go The Spoils' achievement means you'll need to be on the lookout for bandit groups and then willfully turn your back on one of them. Thankfully, they aren't very strong, so getting your stuff back will only take a moment as you cut the thief down.

How To Get The To The Victor Go The Spoils Achievement/Trophy

To unlock the 'To The Victor Go the Spoils' achievement, you'll need to defeat a Scavenger after it has stolen something from you. While it's not hard to find groups of bandits in Vermund, triggeringthis specific encounter can be tricky due to the unpredictability of each battle.

When you find a group of bandit NPCs wandering around a campsite or ruins in the wild, you'll likely find a hooded figure wielding two blades among them. When you initiate a fight, they'll hug the edges of the fray until you turn your back, then they'll tackle you and steal something from your inventory.

You may want to lower your party's numbers to keep the Scavenger from being killed by an ally before they can steal from you.

After you recover, simply keep track of the Scavengerand cut them down. They will drop whatever they stole and you'll receive the achievement.

Where To Find Scavengers

Scavengers can be found around ruins and groups of bandits, although you may also see them wandering too. In addition to the rugged cloak and two daggers, a Scavenger can also be noticed by the text dialogue above their head that will say something about not being able to find loot.

There are many ruins across both Vermund and Battahl, with notable locations shown by vertical banners. Hovering over it on your map will reveal the name of the location, letting you know what kind of structures to expect.

Some examples of ruins near the starting area of Vermund and its capital, Vernworth, include:

  • The Northern Harve Ruins can be found west of Vernworth and north of the coastal village of Harve.
  • The Ruined Settlement can be found by following the northeast road out of Vernworth.
  • The Riverside Ruins can be found on the west side of the river extending northeast out of Vernworth.

As you wander across the land in Dragon's Dogma 2, you'll find many ruins and groups of bandits who are eager to take your loot.
