Thankfully, there are plenty of things to do around the village, you just have to help Beast find something he'll be good at, and someone he can talk with that isn't you or Belle. Through some trial and error, you'll help the Beast feel a little more at home in your valley.

How To Unlock The Be Our Friend Friendship Quest

Before you can begin Beast's Friendship Quest, there are a few prerequisites.

  • Reach level four friendship with the Beast
  • Unlock WALL-E
  • Unlock Kristoff

Once these conditions have been met and you've completed his prior friendship quest, speak to Beast. He wants to feel useful in the valley, so you'll have to help him find books for Belle.

Where To Find The Books In Merlin's House

Merlin is reluctant to let people borrow books, even Belle because too many have gone missing before she arrived in the valley. Beast needs you to go into the enchanter's house and pick them up.

Book Location One

The first book can be found by the telescope when you walk in, on the right. It's on the floor in front of the bookshelf.

Book Location Two

The second book is on Merlin's desk, next to a piece of parchment. Interact with the book to pick it up.

Book Location Three

The third book is hidden in the back of the room, past the fireplace and behind two stacks of books. It's easy to miss, so make sure you keep an eye out for it.

Once you've collected the books, bring them to Belle for Beast.

Should You Pick WALL-E Or Mirabel?

Belle worries about Beast having trouble with being shy, so maybe you can arrange a meeting between him and another friendly villager. After talking to Belle, ask Mirabel and WALL-E about meeting up with the Beast.

Once you've spoken to the other villagers, return to Beast and tell him your plan. He'll ask you to decide if he should spend time gardening with WALL-E or sewing with Mirabel.

Unlike most choices in Disney Dreamlight Valley, this one affects what materials you'll need to gather, and you'll get a unique encounter with the villager of your choice.

If you select Mirabel, you'll need to craft fiber and empty vials.

If you select WALL-E, you'll need to plant and harvest ten crops with the Beast toteach him the basics of gardening.

Once you've prepared Beast, take him to meet the villager of your choice. You'll need to follow him to make sure the situation doesn't go too poorly. Unfortunately, Beast struggles no matter what choice you make.

Despite the villager's best efforts, the meeting does not go as planned. Instead, Beast needs to hang around someone who doesn't mind silence. Thankfully, you know just the man in the woods to help.

How To Participate In The Fishing Contest

After the disastrous meeting ends, speak with Kristoff about his fishing content. He'll explain the rules for the contest, and he asks that you participate as well.

Talk to Beast before you begin the contest. He seems in a better mood than before and takes off to fish. It's up to you to catch the following fish:

  • Saltwater Fish (2)
  • Freshwater Fish (2)
  • Fish of three pounds or more
  • A Herring
  • A Bream

Once you catch everything, meet with Beast and Kristoff again. You'll catch them talking about how they had a good time in not so many words.

Talk to Beast to complete the quest. He's grateful for your help and that he has someone to talk to in the village aside from you and Belle. Your reward is a boost in friendshipwith Beast.
