Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has released its second set of Weekly Challenges for its third season, releasing the first Aftermarket Part for a Modern Warfare 2 weapon. Complete any five of this week's challenges, and you'll be able to convert the KV Broadside shotgun into a full-auto battle rifle.

Fortunately, this week's challenges are fairly easy across Multiplayer, MWZ, and Warzone. Land shotgun kills, eliminate Mimics in Zombies, and perform squad assembles to complete some of this week's challenges with ease. This guide will give a brief overview of how the JAK Jawbreaker Kit works, and we'll explain how you can quickly complete each challenge added this week in MW3.

After you complete any five challenges from this week, you will unlock the JAK Jawbreaker Kit for the KV Broadside. This is the first conversion kit available for a Modern Warfare 2 weapon, so you'll need to unlock the KV Broadside first if you didn't play MW2 last year.

The conversion kit itself converts the KV Broadside into a battle rifle that functions identically to the Sidewinder. It has a fairly slow fire rate of 433 RPM, yet it has the ability to land a two-hit kill in core Multiplayer if you land a single headshot.

To keep the weapon in check, the JAK Jawbreaker has the worst firing aim stability out of all MW3 weapons, including the MW2 weapons that were brought forward. You'll need to spec heavily into firing stability to make this gun remotely usable past 20 meters. Visual recoil is also quite extreme on this weapon. Recoil mitigation attachments are highly recommended.

Tips

  • Recommended weapons have a flaming icon in the Create-A-Class menu.
  • Kingslayer kills are when you eliminate the top-ranked member of the enemy team.
  • Quickscope kills occur when you eliminate an opponent within one second of aiming down sights.
  • The distance for a shotgun longshot kill is at least 12.5m.

Tips

  • Bring a Pack-A-Punched Haymaker with Napalm Burst ammo. Land hipfire kills and complete Contracts until you can handle the High Threat Zone (red region), then farm 150 kills there. This will complete five challenges in a single game.
    • Mod your Haymaker for Slug ammo and a large magazine. Pack-A-Punch will make each shot release eight slug projectiles. The Haymaker will also become full-auto.
  • Mimics are commonly found in the High Threat Zone within buildings. You can force a Mimic to spawn by taking HVT Contracts that target a Mimic.

  • The loot cache challenges must be completed on Rebirth Island.
  • A squad assemble occurs when your squad lands next to one another at the start of a Warzone match. You need to land with your squad seven times to complete the first challenge.
