To purge the corruption that plagues several islands, you'll need to destroy Corruption Nodes and Corruption Cores while defending against the hostile mobs protecting them. As you fight, you may sustain damage from getting attacked and experience loss of health. To stay in the fight, you'll need to know how to properly heal yourself.

How To Craft Bandages And Heal

Your health bar is the long red bar found in the bottom left corner of your screen. As you take damage, you'll see the bar go down. If your health is reduced to zero, you'll blackout and return home.

To heal, you will need bandages. There are two types, and they'll require different materials to craft.

Bandage

Materials

Description

Leaf Bandage

  • Reishi Mushroom x1
  • Leaf Cloth x2

Heals minor wounds.

Wool Bandage

  • Honey x1
  • Reishi Mushroom x1
  • Wool Cloth x2

Heals decent wounds.

Once you have your bandages, you'll need to equip it in a tool slot. From your inventory, drag your bandage to a slot on your tool bar with a corresponding number on your keyboard for quick access to it. You'll also be able to scroll through your tools for it using your scroll wheel.

A great slot to have your bandages in is next to your weapon. That way, you can easily switch to and from your weapon and your bandages while in battle with a quick move on your scroll wheel.

Once you have your bandage equipped, scroll to it and left-click to apply the bandage to your wounds. Your health should restore over time as you use the bandage.

Your bandage restores your health while you hold the button to apply it. Make sure not to just tap it when you use it to not waste the bandage's healing potential.

How To Increase Health

As fights get more difficult, you'll find that it'll start to be a struggle to keep your health from dropping to zero. That said, you need to find ways to increase your health bar.

To increase your maximum health, you will need to eat dishes. Various meals can aid in giving you a delightful health boost, and the more difficult the ingredients are to obtain, the higher the health bonuses.

Don't forget that you only have two slots of food in your stomach before you get full. If you fill those slots, you won't be able to consume anything else. That said, ensure that you're eating dishes that give the highest health boost for your toughest battles.

If you need to get rid of the contents of your stomach, drink Digestive Tea.

Gourmet versions of dishes will allow them to grant you an increased amount of health for a longer period compared to the normal version of the dish. To be able to make Gourmet dishes, you'll need to unlock recipes for them.

These recipes can be found in Lost Treasures and chests during your explorations. Once you unlock the Gourmet version of a dish, there's a chance you can make it each time you prepare the dish.

A Gourmet version of a dish counts as a separate item so they cannot be stacked on top of each other in your inventory or in storage.

How To Regenerate Health

If you run out of bandages while in battle, there's no need to panic. There are ways for you to restore your health.

Sleeping in a bed will restore your health completely, but time will pass as you do so. If you sleep in the morning, you will wake up in the afternoon. If you sleep in the afternoon, you will wake up at night. Healing using the Lay Down option may be better if you'd prefer to maintain the same time of the day.

To Lay Down is to perform an action where you lie directly on the ground. To do this, pick a safe spot and look directly below you. An option to Lay Down should pop up over your crosshair. As you lie on the ground, your health will restore over time and you can wait for it to be completely full before heading back into battle.

You can perform the Lay Down action anywhere on a flat surface.

If you spend a few moments while lying on the ground, you'll eventually obtain the status effect At Peace. This is a condition that lasts for ten minutes and while it is active, you will experience minor health regeneration.

The At Peace status effect can be obtained even if your health is completely full. You just need to patiently wait until it appears while you perform the Lay Down action. This is a great condition to have before you head into your battles against the corruption plaguing different islands.
