There are plenty of resources you’ll need to find and stockpile in My Time at Sandrock, primarily for quests, gifts, or cooking recipes. And while there are plenty of plants to chop down throughout the otherwise barren Eufaula Desert, Yellow Lavender proves to be a critical ingredient in plenty of Sandrock quests.

Yellow Lavender Locations In Sandrock
Yellow Lavender is a cooking ingredient and central component for paint in Sandrock. It appears as a leafy green plant with yellow buds when you encounter it around Sandrock.
And between Vivi's post on the Request Board to introduce you to this new aspect of the game, and Unsuur asking your builder for paint in one of his early cutscenes, you'll need more Yellow Lavender than you think!
For the nearest plants, you'll be headed out into the Quarry near your workshop and the area around Eufaula Salvage for the majority of your Yellow Lavender in My Time at Sandrock.
Toward Eufaula Salvage, you'll find the most Yellow Lavender amid the Bumble Ant colony that always spawns here. There's Yakthorn and Sandrice abundant here as well, but just look for the telltale yellow on Yellow Lavender.
You can also find Yellow Lavender over in the area south of the Oasis past the train tracks. This is a central spot for Hardwood, Marble, Bloodstone, and more, so you're likely already familiar with this area rife with Yakmel and Bumble Ant spawns.
As long as you don't attack them first, these monsters tend to leave you alone, so there's no need to fight unless you need other resources (or just want to boost your combat experience).
It's worth noting, though, that Yellow Lavender seems harder to find in the winter. The plants themselves are dried up and don't often yield anything, much like normal flower plants in colder temperatures.
Finally, if you're in the market for Yellow Lavender in My Time at Sandrock and really can't find any in the Quarry or the desert, you can always stop by Fang's Clinic.
He'll sell Lavender Extract reliably in exchange for some Gols, making him a good backup choice if you can't find any for free.
