One of the ancient materials you'll need a lot of are Bearings. Many machines and tools need this old material, whether parts of them need Bearings to be crafted, or they need a Bearing itself in order to be built. In this guide, we'll show you just how to find Bearings, so you can help Sandrock with your machines.

How To Get Bearings From Mechanical Scrap

Bearings are an important material to thrive in the game, and the main way to obtain them is from recyclingMechanical Scrap.

Mechanical Scrap can be found by breaking junk piles with your Pickhammer, such as the Mixed Junk Piles that spawn each day at Eufaula Salvage or the Mechanical Junk Pile which spawns rarely.

Mechanical Junk Piles also have a chance to drop Bearings directly in addition to Mechanical Scrap.

Mechanical Scrap can also be purchased from Eufaula Salvage's shop if you need it quickly or are low on stamina.

Once you've gotten some scrap, you can begin recycling it at a Recycler. The Recycler can be built at the Assembly Table from two Stone Troughs, three Wood, and two Grinding Saws.

Material

How To Obtain

Stone Trough x2

Crafted from Stone at a Workbench.

Wood x3

Salvaged from Wood Piles, processing Wood Scrap in a Recycler, or cutting down plants.

Grinding Saws x2

Crafted from Stone and Dinas at a Workbench.

Each Mechanical Scrap takes one minute and 45 seconds to process, and you can process up to ten at once in the Recycler.

Every individual piece of Mechanical Scrap you process has a chance to reward you with one Bearing, and this chance can be increased by three percent by investing Knowledge Points in the Efficient Filtration Knowledge skill.
