He may appear intimidating wielding a large sword, but his slow attack speed proves to be his undoing. Regardless of your character’s build, defeating him is a breeze with simple parrying and jumping techniques, making him more of a learning opportunity than a serious threat.
8. Concierge
Dead Cells
In the roguelike Metroidvania Dead Cells, the Concierge serves as the first major boss. Although it can pose some initial challenges, players can easily overpower it with the right strategy. The Concierge follows a predictable sequence of moves, allowing players to dodge, block, or parry its attacks while delivering ranged offense with bombs or spiked boots. If you’re new to the game, it might take a moment to adapt, yet it’s entirely feasible to defeat this boss without sustaining any damage.
7. Athetos
Axiom Verge
Compared to its sequel, Axiom Verge offers a less challenging experience, particularly with the boss Athetos. Rather than engaging in a traditional battle, Athetos controls the arena by summoning minions known as Donaughts across multiple waves. Their predictable attack patterns make this final confrontation feel more like a prolonged survival test than an actual challenge. With upgrades and potent weapons at your disposal, many players find creative and efficient methods to dispatch Athetos during subsequent playthroughs.
6. Vengefly King
Hollow Knight
In stark contrast to the challenging bosses within Hollow Knight, the Vengefly King stands out as an unexpectedly easy fight. This boss, characterized by only two types of attacks, does not pose a significant risk to the player. While the Vengefly King attempts to overwhelm players with nascent minions, the small flies are simple to eliminate. Remember to stay alert and heal when necessary, but overall, this battle remains straightforward.
5. Screech
Yoku’s Island Express
Yoku’s Island Express, a delightful pinball platformer, features a range of easy bosses. Among these, Screech stands as the simplest. Players simply need to destroy surrounding crystals to create openings and target the boss’s weak points with pinballs. Joined by three helpful red NPCs, victory is virtually guaranteed, making this encounter a light-hearted and enjoyable challenge.
4. Grave Crawler
Islets
While Islets is known for its formidable bosses, Grave Crawler emerges as an unexpectedly easy encounter. This initial multiphased battle features a large, slow-moving boss with limited attack options. While it can summon minions and attempt to jump across the arena, its sluggishness and minimal damage output make it more amusing than challenging, easily allowing players to find success.
3. Calaca
Guacamelee!
Calaca, the final boss in Guacamelee!, offers an experience more comedic than challenging. His attack patterns are easily predictable, allowing players to avoid damage with little effort. Moreover, using a transformation to chicken form and exploiting glitches can even render him helpless in his second phase. This encounter makes for a decidedly easy and entertaining endgame experience.
2. Willow Stone
Ori and the Will of the Wisps
While Ori and the Will of the Wisps typically features challenging boss encounters, Willow Stone stands out as an exception. With a lack of substantial challenge, many players dismiss him as a true boss. The battle often feels like a rushed setup for the subsequent encounter with Shriek, leaving players wanting a more substantial challenge. A simple approach of jumping around and targeting its core swiftly concludes the fight.

Chasm
Typical first bosses in Metroidvania games serve primarily as tutorials rather than true challenges. However, the Wendigo from Chasm is a source of amusement due to its remarkably straightforward fight. Despite its attempts to perform various attacks, such as jumping and throwing boulders, its clumsy moves make it an easy target. Even on harder difficulties, defeating this creature provides little resistance, often leading to laughter rather than frustration.
