Following its reveal, Spencer emphasized Xbox’s intention to support the new console, as part of a broader strategy to extend Xbox game availability beyond its own platforms. During the same interview, Duncan reiterated Xbox’s mission to support the release of first-party games on various platforms such as Steam, PlayStation 5, and potentially the Nintendo Switch. He believes that by making popular titles like Sea of Thieves and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle accessible across multiple systems, everyone—gamers and developers alike—stands to benefit.

While there has yet to be an official announcement regarding Xbox Game Studios’ games on the Nintendo Switch 2, speculation suggests that Microsoft is considering offering several titles for the new platform. Potential releases may include Indiana Jones and Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2. Additionally, Phil Spencer has hinted that Bethesda’s popular game Starfield might make its way to the Switch 2, as part of the initiative to broaden accessibility on various systems. Currently, the only confirmed title for the Nintendo Switch 2 is a new Mario Kart game, with more exciting announcements likely during the upcoming Nintendo Direct.
