World of Warcraft has unveiled a thrilling preview of the upcoming Cartels of Undermine, a new Renown faction debuting in Patch 11.1. This faction features four distinct Goblin cartels, plus a mysterious fifth cartel yet to be revealed, promising players a dynamic and engaging way to increase their Renown and earn valuable rewards.

Titled Undermined, Patch 11.1 transports players to the underground realm of Undermine, where Azeroth’s heroes will forge new alliances and reconnect with familiar faces in their quest to counter the plots of Xal’atath and Gallywix.

Among these alliances, the Cartels of Undermine are set to become paramount allies. The details of how this Renown faction operates were recently shared in a blog post by World of Warcraft. Players will engage weekly with one of the four prominent cartels: Monte Gazlowe’s Bilgewater, Marin Noggenfogger’s Steamwheedle, Baron Revilgaz’s Blackwater, or the Venture Co.spearheaded by Grimla Fizzlecrank. Similar to the Pact system from WoW: The War Within’s Severed Threads Renown faction, selecting one cartel will determine the activities available in Undermine, allowing players to concentrate on enhancing their reputation with that specific group while boosting their overall Cartels of Undermine Renown.

    • Description: Associated with the Horde and welcomes playable Goblin characters.

    • Description: The largest and oldest cartel operating in Undermine.

    • Description: A fresh cartel arising from the Blackwater Raider pirates of Booty Bay.
    • Specialty: Luxury shipping and vacation experiences.

    • Description: A dubious corporation on a quest to improve its image.

Every Renown faction brings along an array of new rewards, and the Cartels of Undermine are no exception. By enhancing their global Renown, players can acquire Valorstones, Crests, Profession recipes, unique transmogs, and valuable upgrades for various overworld tasks, including S. C.R. A.P.and the C. H.E. T.T. List. Those reaching Renown levels 19 and 20 can expect to unlock the Topskimmer Special rocket mount and the title “The Explosive, ” in addition to a multitude of other rewards from the individual reputation vendors of each cartel.

As an added twist, a secret fifth cartel has been teased for future discovery, though specifics are still under wraps. While not yet confirmed, speculation points toward Darkfuse Solutions—a private security firm associated with Gallywix—potentially making a shift in allegiance following the Chrome King’s downfall in the upcoming Liberation of Undermine raid.

Players eager to increase their standing with the Cartels of Undermine will have the opportunity to start this journey as soon as Patch 11.1 launches. Though no official release date has been announced, many anticipate the update might go live on February 18 or 25, aligning with other active WoW events such as Turbulent Timeways and Plunderstorm.
