World of Warcraft Announces Exciting Update for Players With Unused Anniversary Event Currency

Overview of Upcoming Changes in World of Warcraft
- Patch 11.1 will automatically convert any unspent Bronze Celebration Tokens into Timewarped Badges.
- The conversion rate set at 1 Bronze Celebration Token for 20 Timewarped Badges is designed to benefit players.
- Players should log in post-update to avail of the token conversion.
World of Warcraft is set to introduce a feature in Patch 11.1 that will streamline the experience for players who have unspent Bronze Celebration Tokens from the 20th-anniversary event. Once the patch is active, players who didn’t utilize all their tokens prior to the event’s conclusion will automatically receive 20 Timewarped Badges for each remaining Bronze Celebration Token found in their character’s inventory.
The 20th anniversary celebration of World of Warcraft not only marked a significant milestone but also featured an extensive array of activities over 11 weeks, granting players the opportunity to accumulate a substantial amount of Bronze Celebration Tokens. These tokens were valuable for acquiring refreshed Tier 2 gear sets, alongside a variety of commemorative collectibles. However, any tokens leftover after the festivities can now be converted into Timewarped Badges, a currency essential for participating in Timewalking events.
Details on Bronze Celebration Token Conversion in Patch 11.1
Following the conclusion of the event on January 7, the utility of Bronze Celebration Tokens ceased. Blizzard confirmed they would not reintroduce this currency for future events or anniversary celebrations, even if the revamped Tier 2 sets are re-launched. This automatic conversion offers a solution for players left with surplus tokens, preventing their currency tabs from being cluttered with unusable items.
While Patch 11.1 does not yet have a designated release date, players anticipate its arrival around February 25, corresponding closely with the timeline of World of Warcraft’s second Plunderstorm event, which runs from January 14 to February 17, and the ongoing Turbulent Timeways, concluding on February 24. This predicted release schedule aligns with Blizzard’s customary update patterns, considering factors like holiday breaks.
Unfortunately, players will have to wait for the conversion of Bronze Celebration Tokens until after the current Turbulent Timeways event concludes. This extensive seven-week event enables players to utilize Timewarped Badges across various Timewalking campaigns, providing ample opportunity to spend the converted currency. Fortunately, rewards available for purchase with Timewarped Badges will remain accessible, allowing players to save up for future Timewalking initiatives.
