Start Stock Car Races from this location (Image via Rockstar Games)The Stock Car Races become available following the “Mr. Phillips”mission in the story mode of GTA 5, and can be initiated at any point during free roam using any of the three main characters: Michael De Santa, Franklin Clinton, or Trevor Philips. It is advisable to select Franklin as your racer since his unique ability can significantly ease the challenges posed by these races.
Keep in mind that not every type of vehicle qualifies for these races. Attempting to enter with an ineligible car will result in a prompt requesting that you return with an appropriate vehicle. If your car is suitable, an on-screen button will appear, enabling you to initiate the Stock Car Race, as illustrated in the image below:
