In the charming world of Stardew Valley, players encounter a delightful variety of entities, among which the Junimos stand out. These pint-sized forest spirits are known for their colorful appearance and their helpful nature. They inhabit abandoned structures, primarily the Community Center, and lend a hand to The Farmer, invigorating the essence of Pelican Town. Once players forge a friendship with the Wizard and construct a Junimo Hut, these vibrant spirits can take up residence on their own farms, diligently harvesting crops daily before retreating to their cozy abodes.

While the sight of these whimsical creatures is a treat in itself, there’s an exciting secret hidden within the game that allows players to alter the Junimos’ appearance. According to a secret note, players are able to customize the spirits by using colorful gems, giving them the opportunity to change the Junimos’ hues to match their personal favorites. Remarkably, some of the rarest items in the game can be utilized for this transformation process.

Transform Junimo Hut Colors with Gemstones

Forest Spirits Can Embrace Any Hue

According to Secret Note #24, which states, “Folk wisdom holds that the Junimos display some kind of resonant affinity with gemstones that are placed inside their little huts…, ”players can modify the color of the Junimos residing in their hut by placing specific gems inside the storage slot. The splendid part? The Junimos do not consume these gemstones, allowing players to keep their favorite color for as long as desired.

To unlock the ability to build a Junimo Hut, players must befriend the Wizard and complete a quest involving goblins who have an unusual fondness for mayo. Upon successfully finishing this task, players gain access to a diverse array of buildings, including the invaluable Junimo Hut. Notably, this hut is among the most affordable buildings the Wizard offers, enabling players to populate their farms with multiple Junimo Huts for enhanced harvesting capabilities, resulting in a beautiful tapestry of colored Junimos across the fields.

A Palette of Vibrant Options

Players have access to a stunning range of over twenty color variations for their Junimos, each determined by the type of gem placed in their hut. However, it’s worth noting that not all gems yield a distinct color; some gemstones like ruby, baryte, helvite, and fire quartz produce a consistent apple red shade. Conversely, precious gems like emeralds and opals yield unique color options.
