A significant enigma within the Deltarune Chapters is the elusive eggs. While players have some insights regarding the Shadow Crystals, the eggs remain a puzzling aspect of the game, generating curiosity and speculation within the gaming community.

Each chapter involves a fair amount of exploration, often requiring players to backtrack and search for these eggs without any clear guidance on their locations. The only substantial information provided about these eggs is found in Chapter 3, which suggests they should be stored in hometown for safekeeping.

In this guide, we will detail the locations of all four egg rooms, instructions on how to retrieve each egg, and their designated safe spots in hometown—ensuring you can appease the enigmatic Egg Man.

Chapter 1

The Scarlet Forest

Close

Chapter 1 presents the egg room in the Scarlet Forest. This area is situated between the room where birds shoot stars at you and the Original Starwalker’s room, which involves a revolving darkness puzzle.

To access the egg room, simply move back and forth between these two rooms, pressing left and right rapidly. Eventually, you will discover the egg room hidden within. Interacting with the tree’s leaves will lead you to a curious encounter with a mysterious man.

While theories abound regarding his connection to Gaster, he does not seem to be the same individual. As for myself, my primary interest lies in acquiring the fresh eggs.

Asgore’s Fridge

After your adventures culminate in returning to hometown, make your way to Asgore’s residence, where you’ll find a somewhat neglected fridge in the back corner.

Interacting with this fridge will allow you to place the egg inside. Its purpose remains unclear, but since revisiting Flower King in subsequent chapters is not possible, this step is crucial.

Chapter 2

Cyber City

Close

For the next egg, prepare for a more challenging endeavor. Once you enter Cyber City with Noelle, you will encounter a room filled with various vertical traffic obstacles that require precise timing to navigate through.

To find the egg room, cross the initial road, press both buttons, and quickly maneuver between the cars into the tunnel, heading down and to the left without interruption, as you have a strict time limit. After navigating these challenges, you will eventually reach the dumpster where the Thorn Ring can be bought. Notably, this is the only unobtainable egg for the weird route.

Once you arrive, repeat the same back-and-forth movement between the dumpster room and tunnel room to reach the egg room, securing the egg in a manner similar to Chapter 1.

Sans’ Shop

Upon returning to the light world with Susie, visit Sans’ shop. Simply interact with the large basket filled with eggs to place the egg inside. During this visit, you’ll get a glimpse of one of the game’s most memorable characters.

Chapter 3

TV World’s End

Close

Chapter 3 introduces the most complex egg scenario. This egg becomes available only if you spare every single Zapper, and accessing it will not be possible after obtaining the Shadow Mantle.

If you’ve managed to spare all Zappers prior to the final S-Rank room, proceed to the right at the end of the TV World segment leading back to the Green Room.

In this area, you will see a solitary spotlight safeguarding a treasure chest.Step directly into the spotlight and confess to the Zapper that you are a cheater, then declare that you’re going nowhere. This interaction unlocks further progress in this quest.

Your path continues with some backtracking to the Lights Out puzzle, where you must solve a block puzzle involving Susie. The block has to be placed correctly; specifically, it must be on the third tile up from the bottom, so as not to require returning again.

After successfully completing the block puzzle, enter a room featuring a TV and a bookish foe from Chapter 4. Plug in your controller and interact with various items in the kitchen. To your surprise, you will discover that you possess a ticket.

Upon backtracking to find a Froggick, now featuring a red X on one of its ACTs, engage with it to access a nostalgic Gameboy-style setting, with Kris dressed in their light world outfit. The dialogue here offers hints towards a forgotten past that Kris experiences.

In this peculiar space, locate the tree and inspect its rear to engage in another dialogue with the Egg Man, who will now speak directly. Be cautious, as a misstep could cost you the egg.Answer “No” to his first two questions, and then “Yes” for all subsequent inquiries, as he muses about Kris’s forgetfulness and the potential for future neglect.

This encounter makes it clear that while he may not be Gaster, he represents someone who aimed to aid Kris during a significant moment in their history, creating an emotional depth to the narrative.

Chapter 4

Berdly’s Desk

Before securing this egg, within Chapter 3’s absence of a Light World segment, be sure to place the egg away at the start of this chapter. Following your church visit, head to school and return to your classroom, where Temmie awaits next to a desk laden with eggs.

If you’ve completed every step properly, there should be a total of four eggs displayed.Interacting with the desk will ensure the egg is removed from your inventory and safely stored alongside its companions.

Diner

Upon leaving Noelle’s abode, approach the diner door to engage in another surreal encounter with the Egg Man. This interaction yields a takeout box containing an egg. While you won’t obtain an egg right now, the exchange remains notable, hinting at a deeper significance.

The Second Sanctuary

Close

After your experience scaling a tower with Susie, who expresses her hopeful sentiments, she will venture off left, prompting you to explore to the right. Here, you will enter an extensive room filled with numerous windows, tasked with identifying the window that looks slightly different, featuring an egg shape at the top that appears fuller.

It’s advisable to head right for about a minute before scanning for the unique window, but if you prefer, you can check each window directly until you find the appropriate one.

Once located, enter a room packed with references from the Spamton Sweepstakes, revealing new lore and prophecies alongside an NPC muttering incoherent phrases.

Close

After exiting, re-enter through the egg window repetitively until you arrive at a hospital scene where a simplistic 8-bit Rudinn checks in Kris for art therapy in a dim environment.

Enter the middle door marked with a tree, where you’ll encounter a man behind a tree, a sink at the top, and someone declaring, “This is the place where we draw and don’t kill each other, ”along with a free canvas.

The easiest means to navigate this dark space involves colliding with various objects, particularly focusing on the bottom-right, until you access the canvas—the only crucial interaction for egg acquisition.

Kris will create an unconventional still-life of a tree before tracing the outline of an egg in mid-air, thus yielding the egg for this chapter. Don’t forget to wash your hands post-encounter to reflect on the darker implications surrounding Kris’ past and its meaning.

The Third Sanctuary

Close

You might think you’ve missed the opportunity for the egg room after progressing past the second sanctuary, but that is not the case. While navigating the challenging patterns of dark bullets in the third sanctuary, you will find another chance.

Advance upwards a bit from the sanctuary’s exit and then veer to the right to discover a path to a fascinating room, rich with additional lore and a suggestion that Flower King will likely act as the Chapter 5 Dark World.

Engaging with the NPC and affirming “Yes” will unlock a passageway, allowing you to return to the previously mentioned mirror-clad hallway from the third sanctuary and access the egg room, even if you’ve already faced the chapter’s boss.

While there are no opportunities to place the egg during the brief light world visit following the boss encounter, it is prudent to remain vigilant for potential interactions throughout Chapter 5, especially during the festival.
