Anticipation Builds for Tokyo Game Show 2025

The Tokyo Game Show 2025 is just over two months away, and excitement is already palpable. Recently, Gematsu reported that the Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association (CESA) has revealed the initial lineup of exhibitors and unveiled this year’s striking key art, crafted by the talented illustrator Zashiki Warashi.

A Record-Setting Event

This year, the Tokyo Game Show is set to be notably larger than its predecessor. With a substantial increase in participation, it boasts an impressive 4, 083 booths compared to the 3, 252 from the previous year. A total of 772 exhibitors are confirmed for the event, showcasing a diverse array of games and products. Notably, most of these exhibitors are from Japan, but the event will also feature 299 international exhibitors.

Major Players Confirmed

Among the heavyweights set to participate are recognized industry giants such as Sony Interactive Entertainment, Square Enix, Sega, Konami, and Capcom. The event will take place from September 25-28 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan. Other key exhibitors include Annapurna Interactive, Arc System Works, EA, Koei Tecmo, Pearl Abyss, Riot Games, Ubisoft, and Bandai Namco.

What to Expect

While the Tokyo Game Show is typically not the venue for major announcements, its timing—positioned between Gamescom and the holiday season—makes it an ideal platform for in-depth previews of some prominent titles launching in the fall and winter months. Enthusiasts and industry professionals alike are eager to see what surprises await this year.
