The visually captivating world of South of Midnight is enhanced significantly by its exceptional storytelling. Beyond the cinematic cutscenes, players can delve deeper into the narrative through over 100 collectible notes scattered throughout the game’s 14 chapters. Notes Locations in Chapter 9 of South of Midnight
Chapter 9 is more extensive with its 12 notes, requiring a keen eye and thorough exploration. Here’s where you can find each one:
1. Burrower’s – Feline Intuition
Upon exiting the initial cave, Hazel will draw your attention to a distant house. Keep an eye on the right side of the path; there, a hollowed-out tree contains your first note of this chapter.
2. Cross My Heart…
Following the cutscene with Itchy, cross the bridge to the small town. Enter the house adorned with red yarn on its rooftop; the note is conveniently located on the couch to the left when you enter.
3. Dear Santa
Inside the same house as the previous note, look on a table to the right of the entrance, where you’ll find this sentimental note waiting for you.
4. Please Keep In Mind
After confronting enemies near the red-yarn house, enter a different house at the back of the combat area. The note rests in the doorway on a countertop to your right.
5. You’ll Be Sorry
Continue in the same house from the previous note. You’ll find this one at the end of the hallway on a table, ready to offer more insights.
6. Molly Gives A Fright
After the combat segment, head towards the exit that guides you past two thick bramble vines. Located near a house with a sun motif, you’ll discover this note on a picnic table across the street.
7. Mandatory Overtime
Inside the Pure Pine Factory, ascend the stairs directly ahead and enter the office to collect this note along with a Floof knot.
8. She Did It
Once the tangled area in front of Molly’s house is cleared, proceed towards the house. This note can be found on a table to your right as you approach the entrance.
9. Why Not Me?
Enter Molly’s house and you will find this note on a table conveniently located in front of the fireplace.
10. Dear Miss Molly
Still in Molly’s home, look for this note on a table to the left of the staircase that leads to the second floor.
11. Decision of Transfer
This note is the last one you’ll find in Molly’s house, located on a desk to the right of the fireplace on the second floor.
12. Is It True?
Your adventure concludes for this chapter with a final note found inside the larger house in Molly’s cave. After entering through a narrow entrance, look immediately to your right, where it rests on a bed.
By collecting all 12 notes in Chapter 9, you will have gathered a total of 69 notes across your journey so far—just 34 more remain to be discovered!
