Explore ILL: A Compelling Survival Horror Game from Atomic Heart Studio

Atomic Heart’s Mundfish Unveils New Survival Horror Game ILL
During the Summer Game Fest 2025, Mundfish made a significant announcement: following their revelations of Atomic Heart II and The CUBE, they introduced the upcoming survival horror title ILL. This game is the brainchild of Team Clout, a studio based in Cyprus, and marks the inaugural release under the newly established Mundfish Powerhouse publishing label.
Immersive Gameplay and Atmospheric Horror
ILL transports players to an enigmatic research facility, blending first-person action with chilling horror elements. This game aims to redefine the survival horror experience through its gripping narrative, set against a backdrop of body horror.
Players will encounter a range of innovative features, such as an advanced dismemberment system, immersive binaural audio technology, and realistic physics, all crafted to enhance the gaming atmosphere. According to the developers, this creates a visceral experience that pays homage to the horror genre while pushing its boundaries.
Dynamic Monsters and Environmental Interaction
One of the standout elements of ILL is its array of grotesque enemies that players can brutally engage with. The visceral combat includes the unsettling spectacle of ripping flesh and exposed bones, designed to deliver a profound emotional impact through the advanced audio system.
Enemies display unpredictable behavior, with realistic physics transforming the environment into an interactive and engaging gameplay element. Players’ actions can elicit surprising responses from adversaries, creating a richly layered and immersive survival horror experience.
Weapon Mechanics and Strategic Survival
Combat in ILL is not just about brute force; it requires skill and strategy. Players can feel the weight and unique properties of their weapons through detailed animations. Effective inventory management becomes crucial, as players must maintain their arsenal, perform repairs, and strategize their crafting decisions. The ability to create items in critical moments could be the key to survival in this harrowing environment.

Team Clout’s experience in the film industry is an asset; several of their developers have previously worked on horror films such as V/H/S/Beyond, Longlegs, IT: Welcome to Derry, and Azrael. This background contributes to the game’s cinematic feel and intricate storytelling.
While no specific release date has been announced for ILL, gamers can show their anticipation by adding it to their Steam wishlist.
