Sniper Elite Resistance Mission 1 Guide: Pressurizing the Dam
The mission titled Behind Enemy Lines marks the initiation of the gameplay in Sniper Elite Resistance. In this critical scenario, players have the opportunity to severely weaken Nazi defenses, setting the stage for an aerial bombardment. The primary objective here involves pressurizing the dam, which can be accomplished through two distinct methods: obstructing overflow pipes or dismantling the generators that sustain the dam’s function. This guide explores both strategies to successfully complete this mission.
Shooting the Dam Controls in Sniper Elite Resistance Mission 1
To effectively pressurize the dam using the first method, focus on targeting the controls located near the overflow pipes. This approach is straightforward and can be executed early in the mission.
After descending using the vines from your starting point, utilize the zipline to reach the walkway situated before the dam. At this juncture, it’s crucial to eliminate a Nazi soldier who is patrolling the vicinity. Following the neutralization of this enemy, proceed towards the walkway’s edge, where your ally Hawker will remark on his line of sight to the controls close to the overflow pipes.
Equip your sniper rifle and zoom in on the control panels that are highlighted in red. Eliminate both panels with precise shots. Upon destroying these controls, the objective will be flagged as completed.
How to Destroy the Dam Generator
The alternative method involves a more elaborate process, requiring the deployment of a Satchel Charge to obliterate the generator responsible for the dam’s operations.
To initiate this method, continue on the designated path past the Farmhouse. As you ascend the vines, a platform will come into view, complete with a zipline.Use this zipline to reach the dam’s walkway.
At this stage, neutralize any enemy snipers present along the walkway before advancing further. Once the area is secure, make your way toward the orange metal doors that lead into the dam control room.
Inside, retrieve the Satchel Charge located near the shelves and attach it to the generators stationed in the center of the control room. After setting the fuse, exit the area. Once the charge detonates, you will witness a short cutscene that encapsulates the dam’s pressurization in Sniper Elite Resistance.
