Shift Up Confirms Sequel to Stellar Blade
In an exciting announcement, developer Shift Up has officially confirmed the development of a sequel to the widely acclaimed action title, Stellar Blade. This update was unveiled during the company’s recent investor relations presentation, which included a strategic growth chart revealing plans for the sequel, expected to launch ahead of 2027.
Upcoming Projects and Platform Expansion
Alongside the Stellar Blade sequel, the chart showcased a new action RPG project tentatively titled Project Witches. Additionally, there are indications of a potential “platform expansion”for Stellar Blade. While some fans may entertain hopes for an Xbox release, it is more plausible that this refers to the much-anticipated PC version, which is set to arrive next month.
Anticipation for Fans
The confirmation of a sequel brings newfound excitement, especially for loyal fans of the original, which enjoyed tremendous popularity in 2024. However, fans should remain cautiously optimistic regarding the projected release timeframe, as game development can encounter unexpected delays, regardless of the studio’s plans.
PC Launch and Ongoing Challenges
Adding to the conversation, the original Stellar Blade is scheduled for its PC launch on June 11, 2025. However, the excitement is somewhat tempered by an ongoing issue: the game is currently unavailable for purchase on Steam in 130 countries, even though it does not require PlayStation Network sign-in. This situation has raised concerns among prospective players.
Shift Up has acknowledged the problem and stated that efforts are underway to resolve it promptly. Still, it remains uncertain whether the issue will be fully addressed by the launch date.
As more developments arise, fans eagerly await further news, hoping that Shift Up will deliver on their promise of bringing these exciting new titles to life.
