As you explore the vibrant landscapes of Hawaii and embark on quests in Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza, you’ll encounter a cast of eccentric characters whose stories can captivate Majima’s attention.

The inclusion of these amusing substories contributes significantly to the Yakuza franchise, providing a refreshing diversion from the intense crime drama that permeates the game’s narrative, especially in Pirate Yakuza.

At some point during your adventures, a request from one of your crew members will initiate the substory titled “When You Wish Upon Some Balls.”This guide is designed to help you discover the locations of each golden ball needed for the quest.

How to Initiate the Quest

The journey begins right after you complete Chapter 2 and enter Chapter 3. Here, Captain Beef, one of your original crew members, will request your assistance at the Revolve Bar.

He’ll share details about an elusive figure named Shen, reputed to have the power to grant wishes if you can retrieve seven mysterious balls for him. Following your conversation, Shen will send you a text filled with clues about where to find his balls.

In an intriguing nod to Dragon Ball and featuring a hint of humor, your task involves hunting down these glowing golden orbs, each cleverly concealed throughout Hawaii and Madlantis.

Where to Find the Golden Balls

Shen provides clues to help locate each Golden Ball. If you’ve spent ample time exploring Honolulu, some of these hints might sound quite familiar.

While the Golden Balls may not be immediately apparent, your crew member Noah can guide you, hinting that secrets lie nearby. You can track down the Golden Balls by utilizing your Chain Hook, which highlights objects with a striking blue glow. Good news: you acquire the Chain Hook early in Chapter 2!

1. Chinese Medicine Shop

The first golden ball is hidden at the Wan Shang Tong Herbal Medicine store located on Pearl Ave.in Chinatown, Honolulu.

To reach it, starting from the Lotus Street drop-off, enter the Xiong Asian Market gate, and turn right. Inside the herbal medicine shop, you’ll find the ball resting on an anatomical diagram’s crotch, next to the vendor NPC. Use your Chain Hook to retrieve it.

2. Sushi Restaurant

Finding this ball is straightforward as there’s only one sushi restaurant in Honolulu.

Head to Shinobi Sushi located in Little Japan. Start at the taxi stand by the Shrine on Fuji Street, circle around the shrine past Kamulop, and proceed right onto Sakura Street. You will spot Shinobi Sushi almost immediately.

Here, the ball is located on the crotch of a ninja figure right above the sushi restaurant’s entrance.

3. Seaside Avenue Pool

Some golden balls are cleverly hidden in less accessible areas, making the Chain Hook invaluable.

In East Waikiki, head to the Seaside Sanctuary Hotel, situated at the intersection of Seaside Avenue and Hula Avenue.

Starting from the taxi stand on Hula Avenue, turn around to reach Seaside Avenue, and follow under the hotel sign. Soon after, you’ll encounter a wall seemingly blocking a pool area.

Relaxing on a beach chair is a man with a golden ball on his crotch. Use the Chain Hook to snag the third ball right from under him.

4. Pawn Shop Masked Doll

The next ball is a bit harder to find due to the number of pawn shops spread across Honolulu.

Specifically, seek the Treasure Select Pawn shop on Hula Avenue in East Waikiki. If you are following the quest in order, simply retrace your steps back from Seaside Avenue to Hula Avenue. Alternatively, use Julie’s Gearworks Main Store as your drop-off spot.

Right next door, you’ll find Treasure Select Pawn Shop. Inside, a luchador mannequin holds a golden ball on its crotch.

5. Man Chasing Sickos

The last golden ball found in Honolulu can be obtained from Sicko Snap’s Kuroki, stationed at the tram station on Aloha Street in East Waikiki.

If he’s present, you can purchase the golden ball from him for 3, 333 points.

6. Freak on Top of Dunghill

Now, your quest continues in Madlantis. The next hint is fairly explicit, guiding you to a spot close to the Dunghill Bar.

From the Goromaru, veer left until you reach the Dunghill Bar. Look up at the entrance to find a hook. Use it to ascend to the roof, or opt to climb the nearby staircase instead.

The “freak”is described as a leather-clad pervert loitering on the ledge above the Dunghill’s roof. Secure the golden ball from his crotch, and you’re one step closer to completing your quest.

7. Sweaty Man Near the Colosseum

The final golden ball awaits you near the Madlantis Colosseum. However, at this location, you’ll need to determine which sweaty man to approach.

Starting from the Goromaru, turn right towards the Colosseum. Move past the reception area to a pair of shacks along the path leading to the Queen’s Castle; there you’ll discover two men engaged in a loud argument.

The ball belongs to the gentleman on the right.

Finalizing the Quest

Having gathered all seven Golden Balls, Shenron will instruct you to meet him at the Pier on Harbor Street in the Cultural District, situated on the far western side of the map.

Engage in conversation with Shen, and he will reward you with a wish. Feel free to traverse the dialogue options; however, he candidly admits that he cannot fulfill Majima’s exaggerated wishes, ultimately offering you a cool 10, 000 coins instead.

Additionally, Shen expresses a desire for change, stating he’s bored with his extravagant lifestyle and has decided to join the Goro Pirates. While he may be a bronze-tier crewmate with less-than-stellar stats, the experience is mutually beneficial.
