Captured Memories Locations Overview
Players can initiate the Captured Memories quest as soon as Link exits the Great Plateau. This quest becomes available after completing the ‘Seek Out Impa’ task, which leads Link to Kakariko Village, located west of Central Hyrule.
After meeting with Impa, Link receives a photo album belonging to Princess Zelda. His objective is to track down the locations corresponding to each photo to regain his lost memories. The interactive map embedded below highlights all Memory locations for convenience, followed by detailed directions for each memory.
1. Subdued Ceremony
This first memory is located directly south of Hyrule Castle, within the Central Hyrule area. Caution is advised due to the presence of mobile Guardians in the vicinity. Prepare for combat, or opt for stealth tactics by approaching from the south. Alternatively, if you have uncovered the Hyrule Field tower, consider paragliding to avoid guardians entirely.
2. Revali’s Flap
Acquire this memory after defeating Divine Beast Vah Medoh. This event is crucial for triggering the memory.
3. Resolve and Grief
Situated just north of the Great Plateau tower, this memory can be accessed by gliding from the tower towards Lake Kolomo. Upon reaching the lake, navigate to the western bank where a small mound of earth is located. The memory is hidden just behind the mound.
4. Cranes’ Mettle
This memory is unlocked once Link liberates Divine Beast Vah Rudania from Calamity Ganon’s control.
5. Zelda’s Resentment
Located south of Tabantha Tower, this memory can be found on the Ancient Columns cliff. Glide from Tabantha Tower towards Piper Ridge and then further south to reach the memory site near Tena Ko’sah shrine. Don’t forget to activate the shrine!
6. Urbosa’s Hand
This memory is obtained after you reclaim Divine Beast Vah Naboris, for which you must head to Gerudo Town in the southwestern region of Hyrule.
7. Blades of the Yiga
To obtain this memory, travel to Kara Kara Bazaar located in the Gerudo Desert, accessible by paraglider from the Wasteland tower or by following the road west from the Gerudo Canyon Stable.
8. A Premonition
Located in the Death Mountain region, this memory requires you to prepare with either Flamebreaker Armor or Fireproof Elixirs. Travel to the Eldin region tower and paraglide westward to find the memory situated on a cliff near the Woodland tower.
9. Silent Princess
This memory is located northwest of Hyrule Castle, between two small bodies of water. From Ridgeland Tower, paraglide northeast until you find the ridge overseeing the larger body of water.
10. Mipha’s Touch
Available after freeing Divine Beast Vah Ruta, which is located near Zora’s Domain. Consult our guide for detailed instructions on this Divine Beast retrieval.
11. Shelter From the Storm
East and slightly south of the Great Plateau tower, glide east until reaching the Bosh Kala shrine, then head south and east across the river. The memory is near Scout’s Hill, beneath a large tree overlooking Proxim Bridge.
12. Father and Daughter
Located just outside Princess Zelda’s study in Hyrule Castle, one of the more challenging locations to access. Acquire Zora’s Armor before approaching the northeast side of the castle, and swim to the top of the waterfalls. Navigate around the castle’s perimeter to find the memory near a turret.
13. Slumbering Power
In the Akkala region, the Slumbering Power memory can be located at the Spring of Power. Head west from the East Akkala Stable towards the Spring, and then paraglide in from above to discover the memory near the statue.
14. To Mount Lanayru
This memory lies west of the Hyrule Field tower, in front of a large horse statue near the road leading north from Outskirt Stable. Paraglide or follow the road north to reach the memory’s location.
15. Return of Calamity Ganon
To find this memory along Lanayru Road, travel north from the East Necluda tower until you reach the road. Proceed west to the memory’s site before reaching the East Gate on the road.
16. Despair
This memory is east of the Hyrule Field tower, next to the Hylia River. Paraglide east from the tower, avoiding any enemies, to locate it amidst a clearing near large trees along the riverbank.
17. Zelda’s Awakening
Unlock this memory after collecting all others from Zelda’s album and returning to Impa in Kakariko Village. Travel east from the Dueling Peaks stable, navigating through Guardian ruins until you find the memory amidst two small bodies of water.
18. The Master Sword
The final memory can only be unlocked by extracting the Master Sword from its resting place, where it was left following Link’s fall a century ago. Detailed assistance for locating the Master Sword can be found here.
