Recent insights from Spanish insider Nash Weedle suggest that Neowiz’s acclaimed Soulslike title, Lies of P, is set to make its way to the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. In a post shared on X, Weedle stated:
I can confirm that a port of Lies of P for SWITCH 2 is in the works. Its announcement could be made in June, but it depends on “some factors” of the port’s development, as they want to show it with a release date. Following the latest information about the Lies of P DLC, I started to pull the thread and was able to confirm with a contact that the port is in development for Switch 2. According to Digital Foundry, Double A-studios had not received the development kit, but this is not true.
The possibility of Neowiz engaging in this port isn’t surprising, especially considering the growing interest from third-party developers in the new Nintendo console. Given that Lies of P operates efficiently even on lower-end PC hardware, porting it to Switch 2 seems feasible. The minimum system requirements for the PC version include:
- Processor: AMD Ryzen 3 1200 / Intel Core i5-7500
- Memory: 8 GB RAM
- Graphics: AMD Radeon RX 560 4GB / NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 4GB
As we speculate about the timing of the port, another question arises: will it coincide with the release of Lies of P’s upcoming DLC, Overture? Although the exact launch date for this content remains unannounced, it is anticipated to arrive soon. Recently, our own Kai Tatsumoto had the opportunity to preview Overture during a press event:
Three hours were not enough to do more than scratch the surface of Lies of P: Overture, and I’m already considering how my NG+3 playthrough will go in preparation for tackling the DLC. There’s initially a bigger focus early on with using large two-handed weapons in Overture, so I’m looking forward to picking up that gunblade once more and exploding my way to glory. There isn’t a firm release date beyond Summer 2025, but alongside the Overture DLC, there will also be a sizable patch with quality of life fixes for all players, including two new difficulty levels geared towards a more story-focused experience for those that might want to explore Krat but not have to fully engage with parrying and the other more difficult nuances to Lies of P’s combat. Lastly, Lies of P Overture will launch as a $29.99 premium DLC for the base game.
The potential release of Lies of P on Nintendo Switch 2, coupled with the eagerly anticipated Overture DLC, presents an exciting opportunity for fans of the genre and franchise alike. Players can look forward to enhanced gaming experiences and new adventures in the richly designed world of Krat.
