Leak reveals Alan Wake 2 ‘Lake House’ expansion release date is imminent
In June, Remedy Entertainment launched the initial expansion, Night Springs, for Alan Wake 2, presenting a captivating three-episode story that revolves around three main characters. Now, the anticipation builds as the second expansion, titled Lake House, approaches its launch window. Recent leaks suggest that a release date may have been revealed prior to an official announcement.
Australian retailers EB Games and JB Hi-Fi currently list the Alan Wake II Deluxe Edition for sale. However, eagle-eyed fans have noticed that the product descriptions indicate the expansion will become available on October 22, 2024:
Please be aware that due to the worldwide release of Alan Wake 2: Deluxe Edition, the DLC for the Lake House Expansion included on the disc will not be accessible until midnight on October 22, 2024.

During the recent Sony State of Play event, the developer unveiled the Lake House segment of Alan Wake 2, describing the eerie setting as follows:
“Step into the Lake House, where creatures take on numerous disguises, and merely surviving is just the start. Immerse yourself in a chilling survival horror adventure with the new expansion for Alan Wake 2, located in a spooky area on the banks of Cauldron Lake. Within the Federal Bureau of Control’s research facility, the Lake House, a disastrous occurrence has transpired, resulting in a dangerous fusion of reality and the Dark Place due to reckless experiments.”
Tomorrow, fans can expect the debut gameplay trailer for the Lake House expansion during the Xbox Partner Preview showcase, which is also likely to confirm the previously leaked release date of October 22, merely a week away.
The Lake House expansion is part of the Alan Wake 2 Deluxe Edition and is included in the game’s expansion pass, which also provides access to the Night Springs Expansion. Alan Wake 2 can be played on PC through the Epic Games Store, as well as on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles.
