How to enable Ray Tracing on any Minecraft Bedrock world

In recent years, the term “ray tracing”has gained a lot of attention, particularly in relation to Minecraft. It should not be confused with the April Fools mob of the same name in Minecraft. This technology is a modern method of simulating the behavior of light rays in real-time, resulting in extremely lifelike lighting and shadows. The lighting is accurately based on real-world physics, making it almost indistinguishable from reality.
It would be incredible to have the ability to enable the best shaders from Minecraft on any Bedrock world, as these systems are typically the first to be updated. Usually, ray tracing can only be activated by using specific resource packs on specific worlds. However, there are a few ways to bypass this limitation, including one method that is outlined below.
Enabling Ray Tracing for Minecraft Bedrock Worlds
1) Search and download an RTX resource pack
Experiment with different RTX packs to see which one is the best for your worlds (Image via Mojang)There is an abundance of ray-tracing-enabled resource packs available on the internet. Be sure to thoroughly research the various options and select the one that aligns with your playstyle and preferences. Once you have made your decision, proceed to download the pack to add it to Bedrock.
Kelly’s RTX Vanilla Conversion resource pack and Vanilla RTX are both free RTX packs that offer an enhanced vanilla experience without the need to purchase any paid resource packs from the Minecraft Bedrock Marketplace. They also serve as great vanilla+ options for those who desire a more elevated vanilla feel.
2) Launch Minecraft with the Pack Installed
Importing the pack should be automatic (Image via Mojang)The process of installing resource packs for Bedrock has become much simpler compared to the past. Instead of having to navigate through file management or archive managers, all that is required is a double-click on the resource pack with the grass block logo. However, if the pack does not have this logo, you will need to right-click on the file and select “open with”the game.
The process of importing should be automated, and once finished, the RTX resource pack should appear in the list of available packs. To use it, just add it to the desired world, activate it, and load the world.
3) Evaluating the Model on a Global Scale
The effects of ray tracing on a world are immediately noticeable (Image via Mojang)To verify that the resource pack is functioning correctly, simply enter any world. The specific world chosen is not important, as the noticeable and significant lighting changes should be apparent without the need for further testing.
It’s important to keep in mind that RTX is a highly experimental technology, and updates and modifications are being implemented frequently. It’s crucial to stay updated on the pack you’ve downloaded, as this will ensure optimal performance and up-to-date textures as the game evolves. Additionally, be on the lookout for any potential Minecraft resource packs in the future, as creators will continue to improve their RTX capabilities.
