Announcement of Hololive Holo’s Hanafuda Game

At the recent Hololive Super Expo 2025, Gemdrops unveiled exciting details about the upcoming Hololive Holo’s Hanafuda card game. This highly anticipated game is set to launch on July 31, 2025, and will be available on multiple platforms including the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC.

Gameplay Features

Players can immerse themselves in traditional Japanese Hanafuda card games featuring Hololive Vtubers as avatars. The game will include classic rules such as Koi-Koi, Oicho-Kabu, and Hana-Awase, in addition to a unique Hololive-themed rule called Holo-Awase. As players engage in the main gameplay mode, they will collect points that can be utilized to create and customize bento meal boxes, adding a creative element to the experience.

Cross-Platform Play and Accessibility

The game boasts an online mode that supports cross-platform matchmaking for groups of up to four players. Additionally, it will accommodate a range of languages, ensuring accessibility for a broader audience with options such as Japanese, English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, Indonesian, Korean, and both Traditional and Simplified Chinese.

As indicated in the trailer, the Nintendo Switch will serve as the primary platform for Hololive Holo’s Hanafuda, and will be the only console to offer a physical release. The standard physical edition is priced at 5, 280 yen (approximately $35.95).For collectors, a limited edition package will be available for 16, 500 yen (about $112.45), which includes Hanafuda cards produced by Nintendo, a soundtrack CD, an art book, a wrapping cloth, a mini folding screen, and a set of bento stickers.

Global Launch

Hololive Holo’s Hanafuda will be available worldwide on the Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, and via Steam on July 31, 2025, promising to offer a blend of tradition, modern gaming, and cultural exploration for players around the globe.
